Flip 4 that I have purchased from Amazon (Seller-e9accessarirs) on 1st July was fake and having no cripsy sound i.e. no high notes. I had returned & got refund immediately.Thanks Amazon. But finally I got the original product from Amazon (Seller-Appario Retail) and sound quality is exceptionally good with punchy bass and original vocal quality,moderate treble . It would have been much more better if treble response is like Sony XB20. Still I am very much satisfied with sound quality and battery backup.

I ordered a JBL flip 4 on february and use it with my cellphone to listen to songs and stuff but its been 8 months now and its battery life has been already reduced to ½ hour max , this was not expected from JBL now i need to continously keep it charging or else it justs switches off , I havent dropped it either its just been sitting on my table ever since i bough itI wish amazon sees this or i am gonna make it viral

Hallo Musikfreunde!Endlich habe ich wieder neue Bluetooth-Lautsprecher besorgt.Einen hier bestellt, und einen sehr günstig gebraucht in der “Bucht” geschossen.Kommen wir gleich zur wichtigsten Sache!Soundqualität:Bis ca. 50%(65Hz) und 60%(80Hz) wächst der Bass, dannach werden nur noch Mitten und Höhen “geboostet”. Der Klangt bleibt dadurch immer sauber, und die Lautstärke ist hoch.untere Mitten sind etwas belegt, Mitten und Höhen aber angenehm klar. Er plärrt nicht. Auch kein Kartoffel im Mund Effekt bei den Sängern, somit definitiv KEINE Quäkdose!Mit meinem kleinen 1A Lautsprechern aus “Dänemark” (Die wie Burger aussehen) kann er nicht mithalten, die sind aber auch so etwas wie die Referenz in diesem Preissegment.Der Pulse 3 hat aber noch andere Qualitäten, die ihn zum genialeren Gerät machen.Akkulaufzeit:Hier versagen die “Dänen” dann nämlich total mit ihrer vollmundigen “24h” Akkulaufzeit, die in Wirklichkeit so 2-3 Stündchen ist. Eine absolute Frechheit, wenn sie mich fragen. Das Teil könnte so super sein, aber um DEN geht es hier ja nicht.Die Firma JBL verspricht ihrem Kunden 12 Stunden, und der Kunde bekommt 12 Stunden, auch bei ordentlich Lautstärke.Beispiel. Bei kraftvollen 70% und volles Lichtspektakel (kann man auch abschalten, will man aber nicht)hat mein Stereo-Paar dann etwa 6 Stunden gespielt, dann ist der “ältere” Lautsprecher ausgestiegen, und das frische Modell hat noch 4 Stunden bei moderater Lautstärke weiter gemacht!Das lässt vermuten, Schwächung durch passierte Tiefentladung oder schlicht Alterung, auch wenn er fast unbenutzt aussieht, steckt man nicht drin bei Gebrauchten.Gehen wir einfach gefühlt davon aus, dass er nach ca. einem Jahr intensiver Nutzung 2-3 Stunden eingebüsst haben könnte. Wobei 8-9 Stunden dann immer noch ganz gut ist!Das sind persönliche Vermutungen ohne Gewähr.Verarbeitung/Design:Sehr stilvolle Materialwahl, passt in die neuste JBL Linie, hebt sich trotzdem “etwas” ab.Vielleicht sollte man ihn niemals fallen lassen, Plexiglas sollte man vor Kratzern schützen. (Dafür gibt es hier eine Auswahl Taschen).Er ist eine Schönheit, finden so ziemlich Alle.Die Bedienung ist ok, die Knöpfe auf der Rückseite haben aber keine gute Haptik, und einen festen Druckpunkt. Vorteil ist, dass man die nicht aus Versehen betätigen wird.Was mir ein bisschen fehlt? So ein Henkel wie bei “Böse” und ein Passivradiator am Boden? Outdoor?Gehört auf ein Brettchen oder aufgehangen. (Dafür gibt es hier so nette Silikonhüllen)Merken sie selber lieber Leser. Soll er nicht nur Indoor beschallen, sind weitere Anschaffungen sinnvoll! Einen Flip 4 schmeisst man in den Rucksack, den Pulse 3 sicher nicht!Perfekt ist er sicher nicht, aber sehr gut.Stereo/Party Modus:Knöpfe drücken, Party on. Sehr intuitiv, jedoch benötigt man dann noch kurz die App, damit man Stereo einstellen kann. Das klappt sehr gut, es gibt sehr selten Aussetzer, kurz und zu vernachlässigen.Der Sound wird dann sehr beeindruckend, und kann Zuhause ein guter Ersatz für eine Steroanlage der “Einsteiger-Klasse” werden. Das klingt schon sehr räumlich, der Sound klebt nie an den Lautsprechern, liegt vielleicht an der 360 Grad Abstrahlung. Das ist auch Mono eine gute Sache!Wetter:Natürlich haben wir direkt nach dem Auspacken intensiv zusammen geduscht. Das Licht sollte dazu aus sein, denn es kommt ja vom Lautsprecher!Die Kinder haben um Ihn 2 Stunden den Regentanz gemacht. Er hat die Wässerungen überlebt, Werbeversprechen schon wieder gehalten JBL!Abtauchen sollten man vielleicht nicht, denke aber das es gehen dürfte. Ich teste es im Badesee wenn es wärmer wird.Das Wichtigste am Schluss:Lavalampe 2.0Die Firma Mathmos hatte in den 60ern dieses besondere Licht auf den Markt gebracht.Es sollte ca. 50 Jahre bis JBL einen würdigen Nachfolger brachte. Dazwischen lagen die 80er mit den Lichtorgeln. Ein Lavalampen-Ersatz ist es nicht, aber schöne eine Alternative. Und man fragt sich warum nicht schon 100 Konkurrenten auf diesen Trend aufgesprungen sind?!Es ist schon die dritte Generation Pulse, und mittlerweile habe wir hier eine tolle Lampe, die nicht mehr nach einzelnen LEDs aussieht, sondern nach Plasma oder Lava.Der Effekt “WAVE” erinnert wirklich an eine Flüssigkeit die in der Lampe wabert.Mancher hätte gerne mehr Effekte, ich finde aber es reicht so. Mit dem Gerät haben sie einen Blickfang! Die 12x8LED RGB Streifen leuchten sehr hell, aber das kann man einstellen.Empfehlung?Sofort zuschlagen, ein cooleres Gadgetfindet man kaum, und ein brauchbarer Lautsprecher ist er auch noch!
It’s an amazing speaker. Mind you it’s a 360° sound speakers. So don’t expect it blow your mind with stereo sound stage. However the sound is so punchy, great bass and well tuned treble and vocals. It’s amazing to see what JBL managed to pull offb with this speaker especially making it water proofBattery life is been excellent. However if you use light show at full brightness it’s just abt 2-3 hours at best. If you use 50% brightens it’s abt 4 hours.My only gripe is that this speaker don’t have a lanyard hook or any sort of carrying hinge. I think it’s a criminal omission considering 2/3rd of the speaker is made of glass
So I’ve only just got this so the star ratings aren’t justified at the moment however I’ve got a charge 2 and the quality was awesome so I’m expecting good things. The key word in the last sentence is ‘expecting’, as I paid for a brand new product however on opening it, the product is second hand. The packaging seals were cut which was the first giveaway. I opened the box up and on inspection the device didn’t have any scratches etc on it so I’m going to continue using it. However, the tit who opened it hasn’t included the 240VAC adaptor which JBL chuck in as a standard. Just a warning really for anyone who likes to have a brand new device that you open for the first time really.
There is no bass. Ordered black and delivered blue. The woofers are not working at all so zero bass. Sound quality is also not good. Lights are working fine. Complaint registered to Amazon and it’s been 4 days no one responded. Not expected this from Amazon.

They replied in 2 days stating that the product was authentic.I have been using it for past one month and the pulse 3 is amazing with sound and visual effects. It’s pretty decent speaker if you are a reasonable user and sound lover.Apart from that batter life is about 6 hours in half to 3/4th of the sound and fully water resistant (tested by putting it in swimming pool :p )

Don’t compare the sound with Charge 3 cuz# Charge 3 has Deep Bass and front firing which gives you Louder kinda feel but it lacks in sound clarity especially listening to psytrance/psychedelic music genres. Pulse 3 comes with 360 degrees sound tech which produces the same amount of sound and spread it to the 360 degrees so that everyone can feel the same quality & loudness of the music.# The light! It’s sooooo trippy and make you the feel for sure!!!!

*****WARNING: DUPLICATE PRODUCT AHEAD*****So please allow me to bring some home truth to several dear consumers who like me were lured into buying refurbished products at a cheaper price. I do not want to punch an essay alike review for this shi**y con seller (because my time is precious as well), but let us unfold this product with quick negative impressions and observations:1. DUPLICATE SPEAKER – First observation for this speaker was that it was a friggin’ BLUE COLOR Pulse 3!!!??? I am not aware that Pulse 3 is available in any other color than BLACK and WHITE. Also, it was missing the beautiful JBL logo on the bottom of the body of speaker we search first for authenticity. The trunk mesh texture also had an uneven surface which is not a quality of an original premium Pulse 3 speaker. Duped!The glass feel like speaker trunk and the security flap mentioning “Pulse” for charging port had a cheap plastic built which could easily be recognized in the shine of light. Duped!This device had a micro SD port!!?? Original device has no such extra ports. Duped!2. MISSING CHARGING CORD – There was no original charging cord with the device. Instead, it was a black cheap locally available USB cord in the market. Duped!3. The jbl connect app easily recognized it and also updated the firmware. Since it’s a refurbished product, there are some scratches on the Plastic-Glass material of the speaker and the original usb cord was also missing but the seller included 1 in the box. Overall for the price, I’d say it’s still worth it as you are getting it way cheaper than the actual price. The battery life is a little below average and I’m getting around 6-7 hrs of mixed usage. The speaker is waterproof. I tried putting it in a bucket full of water and it floats and is fully functional. As for the sound quality, its very close to the boat stone 1000. I have both the speakers and this performs slightly better in the bass department but the boat is louder. But you can buy 3 boat stone 1000 for the price. But then no other speakers has that lighting effect which is absolutely amazing and makes it totally worth buying. The body is sturdy and not that fragile as it appears to be. The video uploaded is currently playing at around 30% volume
Mindblowing light show and sound quality. This product is amazing if you want to consider a portable Bluetooth speaker with light effect.No other product in market can beat this 3D light effect. Don’t compare the sound with Charge 3 cuz# Charge 3 has Deep Bass and front firing which gives you Louder kinda feel but it lacks in sound clarity especially listening to psytrance/psychedelic music genres. Pulse 3 comes with 360 degrees sound tech which produces the same amount of sound and spread it to the 360 degrees so that everyone can feel the same quality & loudness of the music.# The light! There is no bass. Ordered black and delivered blue. The woofers are not working at all so zero bass. Sound quality is also not good. Lights are working fine. Complaint registered to Amazon and it’s been 4 days no one responded. Not expected this from Amazon.

*****WARNING: DUPLICATE PRODUCT AHEAD*****So please allow me to bring some home truth to several dear consumers who like me were lured into buying refurbished products at a cheaper price. I do not want to punch an essay alike review for this shi**y con seller (because my time is precious as well), but let us unfold this product with quick negative impressions and observations:1. DUPLICATE SPEAKER – First observation for this speaker was that it was a friggin’ BLUE COLOR Pulse 3!!!??? I am not aware that Pulse 3 is available in any other color than BLACK and WHITE. Also, it was missing the beautiful JBL logo on the bottom of the body of speaker we search first for authenticity. The trunk mesh texture also had an uneven surface which is not a quality of an original premium Pulse 3 speaker. Duped!The glass feel like speaker trunk and the security flap mentioning “Pulse” for charging port had a cheap plastic built which could easily be recognized in the shine of light. Duped!This device had a micro SD port!!?? Original device has no such extra ports. Duped!2. MISSING CHARGING CORD – There was no original charging cord with the device. Instead, it was a black cheap locally available USB cord in the market. Duped!3. CONNECTIVITY – The device makes an intermittent bleeping sound after connecting to the bluetooth device even in the midst of playing the audio!! First impression is that the battery might not be fully charged but even with the battery completely charged at 100% , the device continues to make the bleeping connecting sound and would ultimately disconnect automatically. Duped!4. SOUND QUALITY – Not worth comparing the sound quality when the infrastructure of the device itself is horrendously and so evidently duplicated!!! The device barely gave a feel of even a 5 watt speaker, let alone a 20 watt Pulse 3. Big thumbs down!5. WATER RESISTANCE – No rating here because I had to return the product safely to get the refund, so I did not try to pull this stunt with this duplicated product.This is totally not an original Pulse 3 which has a totally premium built you experience the moment you get your hands on the device. 1st of all, seeing all the reviews mentioning that the product is fake, I was really skeptical to buy it but then looking at the price, I couldn’t resist. So I’d like to mention that I received a genuine product (luckily). Although I couldn’t register it since this is a global version (JBLPULSE3BLKEU). The jbl connect app easily recognized it and also updated the firmware. Since it’s a refurbished product, there are some scratches on the Plastic-Glass material of the speaker and the original usb cord was also missing but the seller included 1 in the box. Overall for the price, I’d say it’s still worth it as you are getting it way cheaper than the actual price. The battery life is a little below average and I’m getting around 6-7 hrs of mixed usage. The speaker is waterproof. I tried putting it in a bucket full of water and it floats and is fully functional. As for the sound quality, its very close to the boat stone 1000. I have both the speakers and this performs slightly better in the bass department but the boat is louder. But you can buy 3 boat stone 1000 for the price. But then no other speakers has that lighting effect which is absolutely amazing and makes it totally worth buying. The body is sturdy and not that fragile as it appears to be. The video uploaded is currently playing at around 30% volume

Pulse 3 comes with 360 degrees sound tech which produces the same amount of sound and spread it to the 360 degrees so that everyone can feel the same quality & loudness of the music.# The light! It’s sooooo trippy and make you the feel for sure!!!!

While the product is top quality – no doubt about that, I received a black one even though I had ordered a white one. There was no intimation, explanation, no note from the seller. It was a birthday gift so I did not have time to have the product replaced, but deeply disappointed by the seller’s disregard for the customer’s preference.
Pulse 3 really is an awesome package. Great sound quality, build quality and the pure awesomeness in the led lights.The product is original product not those fake ones out there. The led is so good you can’t feel the vibe through photos. If you have the budget just go for it
I bought JBL Pulse 3 a month ago. After reading various review I had doubt in authenticity of the product and mailed the JBL customer care with serial number. They replied in 2 days stating that the product was authentic.I have been using it for past one month and the pulse 3 is amazing with sound and visual effects. It’s pretty decent speaker if you are a reasonable user and sound lover.Apart from that batter life is about 6 hours in half to 3/4th of the sound and fully water resistant (tested by putting it in swimming pool :p )

Though it’s a tiny thing to notice, I felt it was a nice touch.፨ Though in Flip 5 the transducer is single the sound quality was superb and a better than Flip 4. I personally feel having a single or dual transducer does not matter and what matters the most to me is the audio quality.፨ Though the major emphasis was on the mids and bass and if felt it sounded a bit warm where is a slight boost to the lower audio ranges due to which bass got a bit more depth, making this Flip 5 perfect rock and blues genres.፨ The highs very were cleaner and crisp when compared to the previous versions in my opinion.፨ There was absolutely no overlapping in lows, mids and highs even at high volume.፨ The audio fidelity is much better in Flip 5, so the sound reproduction was superb with there was no audible noise or distortion.፨ Though JBL Flip 5 uses only SBC audio code and no AptX or AAC audio codec but no or very minimal (not noticeable in most cases) latency while watching video in my usage. I tried using this speaker as a soundbar for my TV by connecting it via Bluetooth transmitter and it was good, but I felt it’s best for music from mobile phone.፨ I felt the Flip 5 sounded awesome in all frequencies and pumps out insanely great bass for its size driven by the improved passive radiator.☄️ BLUETOOTH RANGE & PAIRING፨ Though the Flip 5 uses Bluetooth version 4.2, I was able to keep the speaker connected to my phone with range in direct line of sight is around 100feet and around 70feet with walls in between which is awesome.፨ There was no distortion in sound even with walls in-between and phone kept far away.፨ What I liked in all JBL products was the ability to connect other JBL product speakers using the Connect+ pairing protocol but in Flip 5 Connect+ is replaced with Party Boost so this speaker cannot connect with the previous versions speaker that do not use the Party Boost protocol which bit of a let down for me.🔋 BATTERY & CHARGING:፨ The volume and type of music affects the battery usage. The claim is 12 hours, but once I got it around just 8 hrs 40 mins and once around 9 hrs 50 mins with different genres of music. I didn’t listen continuously and kept changing volume and various types of music, so the battery charge draining time is not accurate but in real world I can say it can average to 9 hours with 70% battery with a mix of genres.፨ The battery status can be found in the speaker on the horizontal led and also can be found on the app.፨ The charging takes around 2.5 hours for a full charge.፨ The USB C port is just for charging the speaker so it cannot reverse charge a mobile phone or act as a wired audio connection to a phone or media players.————————-💖 WHAT I LIKED————————-◾ Build and Design aspects of Rugged build, Waterproof and Type C charging◾ Superb quality music especially the Bass and clean Treble.◾ Fast pairing, good Bluetooth range and Big Battery————————————————-♻️ WHAT I FELT CAN BE IMPROVED————————————————-◾ I wish the 3.5 mm aux audio jack and Built-In Mic was included.◾ It’s nearing year 2020 and still using Bluetooth 4.2. Wish Bluetooth 5 was used for even better clarity and range.◾ No backward compatibility in pairing with other speaker and connects only speakers with Party Boost protocol.——————-🥇 OVERALL——————-Upgrading to the Flip 5 from Flip 4 is a personal choice as the Flip 5 has definitely better bass, loudness, clarity and high fidelity than the previous versions but lacks audio jack and Mic. But if planning to buy a portable Bluetooth speaker then hands down this is the best speaker for listening to music in my perspective. Great sound and tough body makes this totally worth in my view.

No option for receiving phone calls, no auxiliary input, mono speaker !! Flip 4 had it all .. JBL is going backwards, also no Bluetooth 5.0 in 2019 .. can’t connect also old JBL speakers with connect app .. please don’t buy this speaker as you won’t be able to return this also
