I have applied plenty of screen protectors to lots of screens. These have to me the most sorry ones I have ever seen. First off Amazon’s description is a lie. You do NOT get three protectors! You only get the Anti-Glare and the Anti-Reflective. The is a HUGH joke!!! It is no less reflective than the screen to start with. The absolute only thing I could have said for it is it might have protected against scratches. Might have, if it had stayed on at all. The only other positive is it is slightly (less than .25mm) smaller than the Anti-Glare which gave it the needed forgiveness if you don’t have the precision of an electron microscope in lining the damn thing up. The Anti-Glare is so precisely cut that being off the thickness of 24lbs paper on one corner through it off so badly that it would not stick full on the opposite corner. Forget trying to re-align it, that is unless you have a level 5 clean room as the damn thing is also a highly charged dust magnet. My advice is to stick to Armor Shield, or some other quality screen protectors. Unless you enjoy throwing away $30.

Dear Amazon:First of all, I followed exactly the instructions of ACER, as on other occasions I have done with other manufacturers.1) The screen protector did not stick to the entire surface, only 98%, about three inches long and half an inch wide at the bottom edge did not stick. On the right side of the screen about four inches by half an inch wide at the edge did not stick, it seemed that lacked adherent.2) The most serious case is that with two screen protectors, touch screen only 60% responded, almost canceled the operation of 40% of the touch screen. For this reason it was considered necessary to remove them, never happened with any touch screen protector.I need my money back.regardsGuillermo Perez

The first Acer ICONIA One 7 I bought six years ago was a wonderful machine. I personally loved everything about it. However, one night several months ago, it just died while I was playing one of my games. I wanted to replace my beloved Acer tablet with a new one of the same model. So I bought this one.I only gave it three stars because although the display is very nice for the price and the wireless connection is faster compared to my old one, the build quality on this unit is inferior to my past ICONIA. This thing is a flimsy piece of plastic so I have barely used since I bought it. I’m afraid to break it. I guess these days you really get what you paid for…

This replaced a 4 year old Asus. I bought it because an app I used stopped supporting Android 4.2. I still have the Asus, and it woks better than this tablet. A couple apps I use crash all the time (New York Times, Politico, others)…side by side, my old Asus is fine with these apps. One star, for sure.

Good laws this came with so much preloaded crap, i spent over an hour doing nothing but disabling and uninstalling programs. Well over half the RAM memory is used up on preloaded garbage.Tablet also seems to have a quirk of randomly deleting Kindle books. So a nice tablet, probably, for a kid, but meh for an adult.

I purchased this Acer Iconia One 7 B1-7AO as a replacement for my beloved Acer Iconia A-500. My A-500 still works great, but due to it’s age I was not able to download a few new apps that I needed. This smaller unit works well for what I need (internet access and knitting files). The one big drawback that knocked down a whole star is the hard drive. It is supposed to be 16g. I counted on that as that is what my A-500 has and it holds most of the files I need. The less needed ones were going to be put on a 16g micro-SD card to be kept in the unit. Now, don’t get me wrong, I knew it wouldn’t be a whole 16g as there would be system files. But when I put just a few of the files I needed on there, it was already getting full. So I checked and found that it really is only about a 10g hard drive. Out of curiosity, I did a reset, started over and gave it as little log-in info as necessary (to use as little space as possible). My file manager says it started with 9.39g of space and only had 8.51g left after it’s initial set-up. At first I thought they sent me the wrong unit, but the box has the right labels and says there is supposed to be 16g there.I decided to keep it anyway as other than that it does do what I needed and the price point was good for me. Unfortunately, it means I had to purchase a 32g SD card in order to make up the space I counted on. It’s going to bug me that most of my files will be on the card and not the hard drive (which means if I have to take that card out, I no longer have access to the files I need), but will have to live with it.

  17. I bought it and I turned it on when I was back in my country and the tablet did not turn on, tried to charge it and nothing. I had to take it to a techinician here and he fixed it, mentioned that the button was broken or something. After that the tablet worked fine.

I’ve purchased Acer tablets before and quality always ranged from average to great. Once again, I decided on this trusted brand and the product was a big disappointment. The tablet looks cheap and feels cheap. The screen sensitivity is bad, and to top it off, the battery lasts about 1-1.5 hrs on a full charge. I don’t know if this was a result of faulty manufacturing or if this product is just lousy. To me, it was a waste of money.

First I must commend the appearance of the tablet, it looks nice. It was purchased to assist with school work and leisure purposes.I am very disappointed to find out that the batteries are no good. They last just a little over an hour. I kept wondering whats the purpose of having a tablet that needs to be charge ever so often. Another issue that I found with it, is that the touch is not sensitive enough. I had to be touching it harder than the norm for it to respond. I honestly thought for a brand like Acre, I can expect stability and quality. I truly regret purchasing this product.

In the world where iPad’s have gained dominance because of its great hardware and due to Android’s own incompetence of producing a better tablet OS, Samsung has finally managed to nail this one. With exceptionally great hardware to smooth software integration, Samsung was able to keep this at affordable price.Let’s begin with the Pros of this device as the cons are few to none.1. Display: This is where your most of the money is going in. That large 10.5-inch super AMOLed panel with 16:10 aspect ratio is a treat to your eyes while reading on Kindle or binge watching on Netflix. It has deep blacks, great contrast and accurate color reproduction. For the outdoor people, the tab is very much visible under direct sunlight and can be used without any issues.2. Speakers: With great display, you need greater speakers. And Samsung delivered it. The ever loud quad speaker setup tuned by AKG with Dolby Atmos provides you best portable media consumption combination.3. Design: This is the thinnest tablet or mobile device I ever held in my life. My already slimmest Galaxy S10 feels thick now after using this tab. And with slim profile, the lighter weight makes it easier to hold for long your long Kindle or Netflix sessions.4. Battery: All that great display and loudspeakers need power to run for long sessions. Needless to say, huge 7040mah battery with power efficient processor is the perfect combination you needed, and Samsung delivered it. No complaints here whatsoever. This tab hardly runs out of juice even after deliberate attempts.(01-Aug-19) Note: After 15+ days of vigorous usage, it’s safe to conclude that battery lasts for weeks on standby as idle drain is 0.1% per hour. Results are calculated manually as well as AccuBattery results. Also, the On Screen Usage time is almost 12-13 hrs which is outstanding for such big bright display. Overall exceptionally power efficient.5. Price: This is definitely an affordable tablet considering that ultra-immersive big display along with great speakers and best in class battery. No android tablet or even iPads can compete with these factors at $400 price tag.Neither a Pro nor a Con:Performance: Sure, the device has a mid-range processor to keep that affordable price tag, but the Snapdragon 670 is no slouch in any way. Coupled with 4gb ram and 64gb storage with room to expand it upto 512gb, it’s clear that Samsung’s focus was more on making it media friendly and less as productivity tool.Yes, the tab will suffer occasional stutters with lots of apps opened in background but if you’re an avg consumer you’re good to go. Gaming with realistic expectations is very much possible with medium to high graphics on popular games. Now the Cons, else people will consider this review as biased or paid.1. No headphone jack: A media focussed tablet with no headphone jack is a bummer and can be deal breaker for some. To keep that 5.5” slim profile, Samsung decided to embrace the current market trend and it was a terrible move.2. Not that I can think of any other. You tell me in the comments below. In the already slow-paced tablet industry and almost dead for android, this tablet definitely feels like a superhero risen from ashes to serve the needs of an average consumer at an affordable price.Edit: Purchased the Samsung’s Book Cover Keyboard with it at an offer price of Rs. 3499 (normally sold at Rs. 7999) and it’s totally worth it. Writing this edit portion with the keyboard cover and external mouse attached to it is lot more easy and productive than using on screen keyboard.

First impression in 10 minutes: frustrated, tab is not able to connect to WiFi. I’ve tried all basic debugging and also checked with safe mode. Tried to contact Samsung care but they are still transferring chats from India to US since 1 hour.Update: pathetic service by amazon agent but somehow after lot of tries tablet is working fine!

  25. Pulled a longer favorable review after some time with this. Two main problems are a) whipping Android M (with a massive update) into shape has caused more trouble and took more time than my Android G, J or L devices, and b) no good solution for small battery and very quick drain, even on standby. My best advice re poor Android M performance is to use the microSD for external, not “adoptable”, storage – livelier but limitsapps. Bought with a large Amazon discount but would not buy for what Acer is asking.

Very disappointed with this product. Bought it for my dad’s birthday and after charging it the whole day the battery only lasted 5 min to 10 min the tops. .. Then re-charged it again and found out it shuts off automatically.. cannot even use it as it randomly shuts off. .. I have returned this item back to the seller … I would not recommend this item .. I have other Acer products and they all work flawlessly … I should have read other users review before purchasing this …

This laptop is good for nothing Laptop. I ordered this Laptop in June 15 and just in 3 months time, in october itself problems started. The power key stopped working. And if you press any other key continuously it will stay ON but the moment you stop pressing a key the laptop shuts down abruptly. I checked in google and found out that several persons came with that issue and they all were using ACER laptop. Strange that such an issue is there and ACER has till now not taken care of this problem. initially I had faced lots of issues of battery draining at night but I rectified it by reinstalling latest windows version. Before reinstalling Windows, I registered the existing windows with a hotmail id. Which means you have to create a hotmail id or use an existing one to login to your system using that id else you will lose your licensed copy of windows which comes preinstalled.

This is an update on this device. Less than 2 months of ownership and it crashes every orher time its turned on. Takes 11 hours to recharge the battery from 15% level! Terrible waste of money. Seller did not want to exchange or refund.

It is a nice buy for the price range, can’t expect to out perform. Using it for kindle and bit of social media and web. If you can sacfrice the back end process to 1 or 2 sub process and with battery saver it can give a decent performance and 6 hrs of battery life. I did not consider the camera, sound is good. Overall a decent score of 3. Finally do remember the performance and, new apps are having compatibility issues! If you wanna be on the cutting edge then forget about this tablet!

Update 3-6-19: The device is still working, but excluding the cost of a 50 minute round trip, I’m finding it’s less expensive to buy a new unit than to have the screen replaced. Sad reflection on our “throw-away” society!Update 11-26-19: Did not replace screen, just living with the crack. Device now flashes “heat” warnings a few minutes after startup, suggests I should remove case to cool it down. Sometimes shuts itself off. Kind of curious, as the device isn’t being used for heavy computing, etc. I just use it to read the newspapers and kindle books. Not real challenging stuff! I always figure if I get two years out of electronics it’ll be good enough but this Acer may not make it to the two year mark….

I primarily use it for drafting. It was important that it had a “glass” touch screen for accuracy in stylus drawing. The duel micro usb ports were defintly a plus for useing a mouse as well. I’ve been putting it thru the paces this past couple of weeks. I’m quite happy with it. The mediatech processor is quick to responce. 🙂

It’s an ok tablet. The second USB isn’t what they imply. It’s for flash drives. So you have 1 USB port. It’s battery life is short but it has just about everything you’d want and you have some memory space so it’s worth the $. [ It’s a year later.]The cord is very short and this is a B3 A40. If you buy longer cord in photo with blue light, (it’s on Amazon) it can charge while using tablet.

Ordered the laptop on Prime Day sale. Laptop was delivered within 2 days, kudos to Amazon for being super fast as always. I got a great deal on this laptop, the effective cost for me is about 55k (Prime Day Sale 69k – Exchange 10k – Bank Cashback 4k), the current price at the time of writing this review is showing as 93k, which means I saved close to 38k… Thanks to Amazon! Now coming back to initial impressions :Pros :* Performance is great, 8th Gen i7, GTX 1050Ti with an SSD helps a lot. (A restart completes within 30 seconds)* Build quality seems decent and feels like it will last for few years.* Red accents give it a sporty look, especially the back-lit keyboard is a treat to my eyes.* Acer’s NitroSense, QuickAccess and CareCenter are very helpful tools which allows you to control the Fan Speed, Performance, Cleanup etc* At the price I bought, its the most VFM laptop. All other laptops with similar specs cost a lot high and feel very expensive compared to this.Cons :* The laptop does heat up on playing games. I tried CS:GO at High settings and the CPU touched 98deg while the GPU touched 75deg. The fans were running loud but didn’t improve the temperature as much as I’d like it to. (Sitting in a AC room with 22deg temp)* There were quite a bit of bloatware installed which I had to uninstall before I could do anything else.* The 128GB SSD doesn’t feel adequate as I have already filled up 80GB out of available 118GB storage space within few hours only by installing very minimum applications that I needed.* The keys on the keyboard are very odd, the layout isn’t the best. I tend to press Home instead of Del often. The arrow keys are very thin and feel congested.* The battery feels inadequate for this laptop, Acer could’ve given a battery with more capacity.Other Notes :* I loved the Laptop’s box, Acer did a good job in designing it.* The power button is flushed with the keyboard layout. (Top right corner key)* Although the laptop has red accents at multiple places, it has a rather strange purple accent within the power inlet and at power adapter pin end.* Finally at the current price of 93K, I’d look at MSI or Asus ROG series instead of Nitro series since they are more gaming focused.

I got this beast during a sale at a net price of 69,000. At the time of writing this it costs approximately 89,000.For the price I got it at, there was no question of finding a better choice. There simply wasn’t one.The specs are absolutely fantastic. It can handle games like FIFA and Rocket League at max settings and some AAA titles at high settings with ease. The SSD which, as a standalone product is one of the lowest tier models around, does help in application boot times and OS boot time. Transfer speeds are so-so.The display is in my opinion the 2nd best in class, only to be beaten by the Dell Inspiron 7000 series, but that’s notably more expensive. Its bright, very good colour balance, and the matte finish make it quite pleasing to look at. This is good enough, I believe for media creation and editing work as the colours are crisp and cover a good segment of the Adobe RGB spectrum. The specs make it a great mobile workstation. The build is generally quite nice , with good quality plastic on the outside and a sturdy base. The keyboard is quite good and typing on it is a good experience. It has well spaced keys, with a nice typing pressure. They’re slightly on the softer side and are quiet too. The trackpad is a good size and is very good to use. It works with Windows’ inbuilt touchpad settings. No nonsense 3rd party drivers and customisation software to deal with. The sound quality is also not that good, with fairly ordinary speakers. But this is to be expected since it isn’t a full fledged gaming machine. The presence of Dolby software however makes for good output through headphones. The hexacore i7 is a joy to work with. Very snappy and quite power efficient. Which sadly doesn’t help the overall battery life, due to the presence of a desktop grade graphics card. However, if someone is looking for battery life, then a gaming laptop of any kind is the wrong category to browse. For me it’s as expected. The laptop is well equipped with ports and even includes a USB 3.1 type-c port, which is great for a bit of future-proofing and high speed data transfer. The cons are that the cooling system isn’t well designed. Over time it will impact system performance and will require more maintenance than other laptops of this category to ensure smooth function. You will find laptops from MSI and Asus with much better cooling design, but for slightly higher prices, & you will be giving up on display quality. The keyboard backlight has only an on and off function. Brightness control would have been a very good option. It’s great for the day but too bright for dark rooms. The frame of the screen doesn’t have any metal in it so it’s quite flexible. That helps to reduce weight but causes a lot of flex when being bent. So added care is needed while handling it or loading it in a backpack. For a model running in 2018, it has too few USB 3.0 ports. Even the type-c port is of an old standard. This bit is just sad. But, for me, the price at which I got it, I’m simply in no position to complain. It’s a phenomenal bang for my buck. I would suggest buyers to keep an eye out for it’s price, in case it falls again.

A very good device. Quick stat. Only drawback is memory which is only 256 GB. It must be 500 GB.
