I ordered this product a week ago, and my cat is loving it (which came to me as surprising as she did not have any cat food before, ’cause she’s a stray). The product is good, but the packaging (Whiskas package) it came in was torn a bit. And some of the contents had spilled in the outer package (the Amazon one). So, only a four-star rating from me.

It was infested with a swarm of bugs (mostly red flour beetles)… The packaging comes in a plastic coated sort of gunny bag which is shut closed by sewing (I am guessing here because of the weight). When I received the package, there were a bunch of them (dead) in the sleeve on the outside, so I thought they had not succeeded in entering the package. And I did not find them in the upper 3-4 kg. But after a couple of weeks of use/consumption, the rest of the last 2-3 kg is completely infested with them, and my cats have vomited on couple of occasions because of the ingesting this infested food. So, I would suggest do not buy the 7kg pack, because it is bound to get infested because of the poor packaging and God only knows the storage conditions at Cloudtail! Stick to the regular 1.1kg packs, those are better packaged, and have not faced issues with them.

Graduated from Junior Ocean Fish as the cat grew up very quickly to 5kgs eating it (we got this stray cat kitten so don’t know it’s real age).Adult and Junior is mixed 50-50 ratio during transition so cat gets used to the new food formula. No problems for the cat.One major caution is Whiskas turned away my cat permanently from real fish and real chicken. It does not touch it. Moreover, it even rejected the Whiskas wet Fish flavored meal and we had to throw it away. Strange are the ways of the cat food. Its possible Whiskas is using organoleptics research and reward center of cats brain and use such ingredients that cat gets permanently addicted to their dry food.

  4. My kitten 12months old having diarrhoea after eating it.please change it .3kg pack cat having diarrhea repeatedly.earlier I boughtTuna flavour.that was acceptable. I don’t know may be this lot has some problem.I took him to vet also.gave all medicines as advised.may be he is allergic to this product.may be some soiled lot, because he is eating since 2 month age no problem till now.

  5. I like it… my kitten likes it… and it’s affordable. It’s not the best product out there in the market… I prefer Royal canin … that’s the dry food I purchase… but the wet food from royal canin becomes very expensive since my kitten eats 2 pouches a day… hence whiskas is quite affordable, and the vet approves of it too.

  7. I understand that the pouches are 85 gms in weight but the quantity inside seems much less than the tuna in jelly (which actually my 7 month old kitten has in two sittings). This one she eats up in a few mouthfuls but she does seem to love it and licked the bowl clean within a minute! Since kitty prefers wet feed to the dry ones and since it can get quiet expensive to give only wet feed at all times, what I do is add the liquid from the wet meal to some dry feed! My kitten really loves to eat the soaked dry feed now! Just a small tip that I do to keep her happy that does not pinch my pocket either! The balance I store in the fridge which is one meal by itself. I got this product in a deal at Rs.270 and with free shipping which was an amazing price available only from Amazon. Also, it was delivered within 3 days. As my vet also approved this product its a win-win situation with this. Cats too have individual taste/preferences, let kitty take the final decision on this, as all other aspects are in place. Thank you for reading!Ps: There is more liquid in the Tuna one than in this.

She’saddicted to it just like a cat is addicted to catnip ❤️ I don’t know the long term effects of feeding a cat dry food only but she loves it. Don’t wet it with milk or water. Just serve it dry and follow the serving recommendations given on the pack and you’ll be good to go. Mine is barely under 2 months old and 70g is more than enough for her. She isn’t fussy at all when it comes to eating this. Just wish a 7kg pack was soon available for the kitten range.

I know packet foods are not good for health for us as well as for pets, my one cat doesn’t eat whiskas food, she likes raw meat and bones, she looks more healthy. While the other cat only eats whiskas dry and wet food, refuses to eat, gets angry if I give anything else, so I mix whiskas wet food with oats or soft rice or boiled chicken, so that quantity of packet food consumed is lesser.

  14. they have ingredients like whole grain cereal, vegetable oil, wheat flour, flavor, preservatives, food coloring.ingredient percentage is also not given.i have searched about these ingredients that whether they should or shouldn’t be in cat food and it came out that these ingredients make cat food more like junk food.

Whiskas Dry Cat Food, Chicken for Adult cats, 1.2 kgTwo months back, I found two kittens, orphan, near my house, they were very little at the time. I adopted them and till date fed them with cow milk, homemade food, eggs. Now, one of them started to lose hairs. Just to stop hair fall of that one I decided to give this product a try. Both of them simply love it and always ask for more. Even hair fall of that lil one seems to have stopped, I’ll update on that later on (Insta at @r_sagwal). But I must say, they love Whiskas wet cat food with tuna in jelly more than it. I would recommend both of these products.

The cat has a love-hate relationship with this product. For a few days, she will reluctantly finish the serving. Then, gradually, she will eat less and less, signalling it is time for me to shift to a new product (which is MeO dry food, the only other brand I could find). Then, she will repeat the same with that brand, and I will need to again serve Whiskas. Overall, I don’t see signs of her loving either product. It is more like she has made peace with the fact that her owner is only capable of hunting two brands of dry food. Needless to say, I don’t get a lot of feline respect at home. But I kinda agree with her. We need more flavors/ brands of dry food for kittens. Hashtag SupportKittenCuisineDiversity.

  19. Cat food is relatively new concept for typical Indian mind set. We are more aware of Pedigree is dog food same is Whiskas as cat food.Whiskas is a well known international brand and available in different countries. I came to know about this brand while I was watching one of my favourite old American TV series. Why I bought cat food:My cat was badly injured by a stray dog and it stopped eating home cooked veg food after a certain time.Coming to Whiskas I review as under:Pros:1 Cats are carnivorous animals and mostly depend on non veg. It can be a blessing if you are family is vegetarian.2 Whiskas has all the important minerals, vitamins and nutrients and most important taurine which a cat needs the most.3 It is available in dry small biscuit shaped non veg biscuits so that it can be easily stored in an airtight container.4 Feed Whiskas as per your cats food requirements and add a separate bowl of water as cats feel thirsty after eating dry food.Cons:1 Once your cat tastes Whiskas, it will get addicted to this food.2 Expensive cat food but worth the price at your cats love it.Verdict:It is synthetic packaged food after all. As long as your cat enjoys fresh meat stay away from this. But if you live in flats or close surroundings where your cat can’t hunt itself this food is definitely a blessing. I have used this product for close to 2 years now. However surprisingly, this time the contents of the bag completely got rejected by my cat. Also she has been throwing up every time she eats it. When we changed to different make, the cat accepted the other food, making us feel that the content of this bag are defective. I think we just lost nearly 700 bucks due to this faulty product.

A tasty snack, with real fish flavor!Haha, just kidding – this is cat food, and humans don’t eat cat food, right? Right?Anyway, my cats seem to love it. Don’t know if they are partial to the Whiskas brand or if they’re just greedy little suckers, but I’ve tried them with Ocean Fish flavor before and this Tuna now and they didn’t seem to care or even know the difference. Or it’s possible that Whiskas just packages the same thing into different bags and calls them fancy names, but they’re all made from horse leather rejects..but who knows, or cares, as long as the cats like it, right?I’ve been feeding this to my cats for over 3 years now without any issues. One thing though – this feed is available in 3kg and 7kg variants, and the sellers for these keep trying to jiggle the prices around and game the system. So caveat emptor and all that – check around to see which is more economical for you.

  24. Let’s face it. I’m from India and Chicken is cheaper than this. I don’t own a cat. I only feed community cats and was indecisive whether i have to buy it then throw it away because they won’t eat it all the previous reviews wasn’t impressive and not helpful. I tried to cancel the order but since I’m a prime subscriber the product was delivered before they could process the cancellation X-DBut amazon offered me to return the package when I receive it and they will refund the money as soon the return is complete. But I thought to try it and boy am I thankful!! The cats love it. They used to fuss and howl when I used to feed them raw chicken but now they seem healthier the hairs are shinier and they play a lot and sleep well and no more howling. And most importantly the whole process of feeding is easy. Let’s face it handling raw chicken is messy and dry food looks like tiny biscuits.

I have always ordered Whiskas Ocean variety for the cats, but this time got the chicken variant for a change. They love this equally (for the record, the cats are crazy about the Whiskas Ocean). They seem to be growing well.Even their 1month old kittens love this. Can’t really give details about their growth etc as the cats are stray. For ingredient list and other details, see the pics attached with this review.Don’t forget to press the “helpful” button if this review has been 🙂

My cat initially refused, but after a couple of days she gradually started liking it. She actually loves the square pockets that are mixed in with all the varieties of whiskas.. I hope whiskas comes out with a kibble variety containing only those orange square pockets. I have noticed that whenever I feed whiskas to any cat, they look healthy & fuller just within a few days. Highly convenient..will recommend to all cat owners.Pro tip: Buy the sample/smallest size (400g maybe) of various flavours of whiskas available to test out which variety your cat prefers the most. Cats have a lot of ‘nakhras’😂. My 6yr old kitty prefers this (mackerel) & the chicken one. Other varieties, she just won’t eat (i finished them up by feeding stray cats).

I bought this considering the price. It was a mistake, it’s cheap for a reason. Also description says its 4kg + 1kg however on the product its 3kg +1kg.. The description is also misleading. My cat didn’t eat it. I used to feed my cats whiskers and she used come running when she heard me putting food in her bowl. When I pourer dools to her bowl she just sniffed it and went away. She didn’t eat properly for 2 weeks then I had to buy whiskers again. I gave it to my friends cat her cat also didn’t eat it. I didn’t want to throw it away so fed it to the stray dogs near my housing society.

  34. I feed many stray cats and this product is the cheapest for 6 Kgs for Rs 800. Two bags of 3 kgs are taped together and shipped. I have ordered it three times now and only once the bag was damaged. But the issue was resolved promptly. The delivery was quick and timely. I cannot vouch for the product’s quality or on how healthy this product is for the cats. But, i can say that the cats are eating it up fast. Only two cats out of the whole bunch refuse to eat this. The grains are small in size and so it is easy for kittens also to eat it. They are also crispy. For my requirement in bulk, this is most useful.Sharing some pictures. I thought it would be a good product but it didn’t seem to agree with my cat’s tummies. 3 of my 5 cats threw up consistently after eating this. Once I stopped it and switched to their usual food, they stopped throwing up. They throw up contained undigested chunks of meat up. Definitely not recommended even for the price. Please don’t feed this to strays either as they won’t get help if they fall ill. Now I think the BOGO is because they are trying to clear the inferior quality stock.

I know a person who is regularly feeding 8-10 street cats with this same stuff & because those cats are habituated since they were kitten, now they eagerly await for this stuff. My cat is now around 10-12 months old grew up eating only raw egg, raw meat & raw fish. Now flatly refused to eat the “Drools Tuna & Salmon” stuff. So, don’t blame the company. This is after all animal food. So, it depends how an animal has been reared.

One of my cats didn’t touch it even if it was mixed with other food. Another one of my cats started eating it and within a few hours threw up. After that he ate a little again and threw up again, sat in his litter box with diarrhea all night and slept the whole day next day. Took him to the vet and spent a thousand in fees and medicines. First we thought maybe he ate a cockroach or a lizard, but the vet said “very unlikely”. Without commenting anything negative about this brand, she only advised us to “go back to the old brand”. So, although this brand is cheap and a great deal – No thanks!

Please be careful if you are going for Whiskas. They maybe a cheaper alternative but not a healthy one.. I have a 50 day old kitten, who had started on Whiskas. Due to his age, the vet put him on a strict diet of only wet food along with digestive and nutritional supplements. Within the first 2 days, he started having gastric problems and was always bloated. He is a strong eater, so used to gobble up 2 packets a day. The next day he started having loose motion. I quickly took him to the vet and changed his diet to Royal Canin gastro instestinal kitten food, followed by RC Instinctive kitten food.I tried slowly introducing him back to Whiskas later, but he started having a bloated stomach again. He is 2 and a half months old now. Happily on RC and more active than ever. So please give it some thought before going for Whiskas specially for very small kittens.

The package was torn and the cat food was poured outside all the way in the shipping journey. as Amazon did not put any extra outer packing/cover but pasted the label directly on the product packet itself. If they had used extra outer packing at least the Crunchy chunks would have fallen inside the outer sealed packing and would have remained fresh and crunchy. My only suggestion that amazon should use extra outer packing on products like these as a protection if the original product packet gets torn off.

We all know as the kittens grow the 85 gram packet wont last, so the best you can do is add some rice to the packet and let it soak the juice so that when you feed your kitten/cat they’ll feel full in one feeding. This saves a hell lot of money.Note: its best not to use too much of rice, add a moderate amount so that your feline can get equal protein in his Diet.✌🏾

I’m feeding foods from this brand (Dry and Wet) for my kitty (Named Bagheera) since 6 months and she always likes it. At first she had trouble eating dry food because it is little hard for small kittens to chew so I have mixed it with little milk for few days. She had no issues with wet food though. Now my Bagheera is nearly 8 months old and healthy. However, using only commercial foods regularly will be expensive and not good for health so I have always given different foods for my Bagheera so she wouldn’t feel bore of same food.

No problems for the cat.One major caution is Whiskas turned away my cat permanently from real fish and real chicken. It does not touch it. Moreover, it even rejected the Whiskas wet Fish flavored meal and we had to throw it away. Although this looks and feels fresh, unfortunately I am having a hard time getting my cats to finish it (mixing it with wet food now-a-days). Since it’s quite expensive, not the most friendly experiment I’d say. Royal Canine dry kibble has been a better option for me instead.

It helped transform the kittens into healthy babies, they grew a shiny soft fur (salmon oil magic) and now love this product as treats as well.Plus delivery is fast in Delhi.10/10

  150. they have ingredients like whole grain cereal, vegetable oil, wheat flour, flavor, preservatives, food coloring.ingredient percentage is also not given.i have searched about these ingredients that whether they should or shouldn’t be in cat food and it came out that these ingredients make cat food more like junk food.

Moreover, it even rejected the Whiskas wet Fish flavored meal and we had to throw it away. Strange are the ways of the cat food. Its possible Whiskas is using organoleptics research and reward center of cats brain and use such ingredients that cat gets permanently addicted to their dry food.

Good stuff, cats love it. Only issue, it almost always comes solified as a single semisolid gelatinous block. This gets me concerned about all the chemicals probably in it. No such issue with the salmon pack.I usually give a good mix by pressing with fingers before I open the pack. Thats the least messy way to homogenise it.Cats love Whiskas wet food, major con is they are bit too pricey. My ratings on Whiskas produce :Tuna wet : 3*Salmon wet : 3.5*Ocean fish dry : 4* (cats prefer kitten one over adult)Tuna dry : 3*Pls vote helpful +++

  166. It can be a blessing if you are family is vegetarian.2 Whiskas has all the important minerals, vitamins and nutrients and most important taurine which a cat needs the most.3 It is available in dry small biscuit shaped non veg biscuits so that it can be easily stored in an airtight container. 4 Feed Whiskas as per your cats food requirements and add a separate bowl of water as cats feel thirsty after eating dry food.Cons:1 Once your cat tastes Whiskas, it will get addicted to this food. 2 Expensive cat food but worth the price at your cats love it.Verdict: It is synthetic packaged food after all. As long as your cat enjoys fresh meat stay away from this. But if you live in flats or close surroundings where your cat can’t hunt itself this food is definitely a blessing. You won’t regret. If you find my review helpful, please click the YES/HELPFUL button! 👍
