Doesn’t live up to all advertisements. Couldn’t return as return window missed

I researched a lot before buying the perfect hair straightener, like anyone else.But what i realized is, you will never be satisfied with the one you have. So just buy the one that you think suits you now..First confusion is kerashine or not?Well.. the keratin layer would wear off in no time.. if you use a straightner more than thrice a week, the serum will wear off in around 2 months, leaving a ceramic plate, which might break your hair strands. So buy the non kerashine ones and buy a good serum (matrix or Livon). Apply the serum about 10 min before using the straightner.. and see the miracle.. even if the hair goes back to normal, given the humid weather… your hair will feel amazingly soft and wavy!Secondly, temperature control..Well, controllable stuff is always good 😉The use would be.. to apply higher temperature on the major area.. and using lower temperature setting for the flicks and the bangs…In case you notice any roughness or damage, yet you need to style your hair, like you need air.. you can simply use the lower temperature setting with a lot of serum, for less damage. The serum actually has silicon, so it forms a thick layer around each hair strand, so obviously the damage would be less, provided you don’t apply it on your scalp. The scalp needs breathing too!Lastly the setup time.. well the sooner the better.. yet there was a thousand rupee difference for 30 sec less setup time. That is for a straightner to heat up fully from the moment you plugin, takes 30 to 60 seconds.. this one takes the latter.. but if you are ready to pay ₹1000 more for a reduced 30 sec heat up, you can choose other Phillips model too.The color is really cool.. so is the convenience of the wire length. It is long enough!The product arrived well before the promised time. The packaging was good.However there was a weird whitish powdery stuff on the wire, which I later wiped off. On asking, they assured it wasn’t anything bad, just the packing dust.

It’s working really good but if you want parlor like hair straightening then use it with some good quality heat protection spray like Tony and Guy. Hair serums won’t give you parlor like effect.

I ordered Philips HP8316/00 Kerashine Hair Straightener With Keratin Ceramic Coating from amazon.in on 1 March and got delivery on 8 March. When I opened package, there were three rolls of newspaper and an empty carton wrap. There was no hair straightener. I am an old buyer and it’s so hurting. I have done so many transactions with amazon and it happened for the first time. After contacting so many times, in the last Amazon customer care says that their investigation team has come to the conclusion that the product was delivered intact and they will not give either the refund or the product. And they have closed this case. I am feeling sad and broken for this loss of trust in such important platforms of the modern economy. Don’t they have good systems to distinguish between real and fake complaints? Very sad. I need justice not for my money but for my dignity. As they are portraying I am lying and making false claims.

Amazing product! So easy to straighten your hair with it! I have very wavy hair but still takes only 15-20mins and gives a very natural look with shiny hair. It’s got a long cord as well which is always helpful if you don’t have a plug point near the mirror.It heats up it’s just a few minutes and you can see the temperature on the digital screen.My recommendation would be to buy a heat protection spray with any heating product you use to protect hair 🙂

Got an opened package and looks like old used product. Product is not as per expectation and it is of very cheap quality. In product description it is no where mentioned that the product is non returnable. Very much disappointed.

The plug was of cheap quality. I had great difficulty to keep the plug in the socket.. Half the time the machine will not switch ON. Not sure if I got the original cos I don’t think Philips product comes with this low quality plugs..

I would genuinely recommend this product if you want to cut down on the frizz in your hair every morning while going to work and get smooth naturally straight looking hair. Your hair doesn’t look like that horrible parlour straightened hair. It comes with a plug point and an easy to use large paddle brush with a temperature setting of 1 and 2. Where the temperature of 2 is 200 degree and 1 is 170 degrees. You can adjust as per your liking. All you have to do is run this brush over your hair – wet or dry to get smooth naturally straight hair, due to the large brush with three layers of bristles it even helps detangle your hair. It comes with keratin protection which ensures that your hair is not damaged by the heat. It takes only a few minutes for it to run through your hair and keep it looking smooth, frizz free and straight. I really love the ease and the frizz free effect it has on my hair. It comes with an LeD light which shines to let you know that it is working or is ready for use. It feels like you are just brushing your hair. It doesn’t overheat and damage your hair, the brush is heated uniformly as well. I would say go for it if you have less time and want frizz free and naturally looking straight hair, it’s a good product to have on your dressing table

As you can see in the picture, I straightened and curled my hair with this straightener and it worked perfectly. It’s like 2 in 1 deal that too in such a low price. I got it only for 849 and it’s totally worth it.I bought vega 3 in 1 styler before this but it was not good at all and also was much more pricy than this but then I bought this after reading the reviews and it really works very good. It is very easy to use and the cord is also very long. Totally worth it. ❤️

Pros:1. Lovely colour2. Temperature control range between 150 and 230 degrees. If you have nearly straight hair, using it at 170 or less will easily do the job.3. I have frizzy and wavy hair, so I use it at 190 degrees to get a sleek effect. Don’t recommend doing it regularly though because the heat is a lot.4. Automatically cuts off.5. Power cable is sufficiently long.6. Plates are sufficiently large and you can get the job done in around ten minutes, maximum 20 depending on the amount of hair you have.Cons:If you do a proper job straightening, then the effect stays for a while. I normally don’t use hair products (like a hair setting spray) so while my hair does remain straight for 5-6 hours, it tends to absorb moisture and become wavy again. However, using the straightener has considerable smoothed out my frizz even after it curls up.Will be posting a picture of my hair before and after using the straightener.Definitely recommend the product, been using it for over a month, and it is very sturdy.

I have both but what i feel is my hairs are not so curly so why burn them on 210°c heat.. just lower the temp and straight your hair… Gives the same smooth effect..

If there was a choice I’d give this a 6/5. I went through reviews and found that this is the best straightener at its price. I went ahead and ordered it over Phillips and I’m very happy I did. The product is that good. My hair is so straight and shiny. The straightener heats up asap and the temperature control is excellent. I love my hair now. So glad I ordered this. It’s in par to high end straighteners. A must have. The price is the best.

Product damage

I dont know if the total product is faulty or only the one i got. I haven’t bought it to use for one tym n then throw. Its been 15-20 days that i’ve bought it and i’ve used it once and now its not working any more.

i got dis product today n today only i used it on my hair..soo lets just start the review..pros:-heats up quicklysleek design (gud for curls as well)360 rotating long cordstraightens hair perfectlycons:-wen it heats up it imparts a plasticy smell dat sometimes gives the feeling as if its getting burnt up from inside but actually its not 😅😅..no temperature control..heats up on auto temperatureno temperature cut off so u jave to switch it off wen u feel its too hotn the final verdict is dat in 1000 /- its soo far the best straightner u can get ..yes even better than the philips one..i have’nt tried the siska one but soo far i am liking it

Awsm…reasonable….it is so good….you can also curl your hair with this straightner…plates are quite good..and you will get a smooth,shiny hair…just loving it…….My previous straightner was phillips….that was also very good…and now i bought this one…its too good…and as we all know havells is a well known brand for electricity….go for it girls 😍❤

There is no temperature setting. just one on off button. Incorrect product description, Amazon should verify details. It says variable temp control upto 230 degrees, but there is no such thing. Cheap quality plastic and ceramic plates are not smooth either. Vega has better quality, Avoid and save your hair

Very nice product..smooth plates.. No pain while straightening.. My hair is very frizzy and wavy..it gave my hair a smooth finish ..

This straightener is easy to use..I used any straighner for the first time on my hairs..Hair remain straight until u wash them..It gives shine to hair.I didn’t see any hair damage in using it occasionally.

I earlier had bought various cheap straighteners branded as VEGA from Amazon, but they haven’t worked for me, nor I think they were genuine. Its better to buy promised brand product for lifetime.This straightener worked so flawlessly for my long hair as it has wider plates, good handling & it always leaves a shine to my hair after use without damage. I was so impressed with the product, that I bought another one for my sister.

I researched a lot before buying the perfect hair straightener, like anyone else.But what i realized is, you will never be satisfied with the one you have. So just buy the one that you think suits you now..First confusion is kerashine or not?Well.. the keratin layer would wear off in no time.. if you use a straightner more than thrice a week, the serum will wear off in around 2 months, leaving a ceramic plate, which might break your hair strands. So buy the non kerashine ones and buy a good serum (matrix or Livon). Apply the serum about 10 min before using the straightner.. and see the miracle.. even if the hair goes back to normal, given the humid weather… your hair will feel amazingly soft and wavy!Secondly, temperature control..Well, controllable stuff is always good 😉The use would be.. to apply higher temperature on the major area.. and using lower temperature setting for the flicks and the bangs…In case you notice any roughness or damage, yet you need to style your hair, like you need air.. you can simply use the lower temperature setting with a lot of serum, for less damage. The serum actually has silicon, so it forms a thick layer around each hair strand, so obviously the damage would be less, provided you don’t apply it on your scalp. The scalp needs breathing too!Lastly the setup time.. well the sooner the better.. yet there was a thousand rupee difference for 30 sec less setup time. That is for a straightner to heat up fully from the moment you plugin, takes 30 to 60 seconds.. this one takes the latter.. but if you are ready to pay ₹1000 more for a reduced 30 sec heat up, you can choose other Phillips model too.The color is really cool.. so is the convenience of the wire length. It is long enough!The product arrived well before the promised time. The packaging was good.However there was a weird whitish powdery stuff on the wire, which I later wiped off. On asking, they assured it wasn’t anything bad, just the packing dust.

Reviews say it was nothing great but i think:1) compact and lockable. Good for travel.2) 2 heat levels are very useful plus quick heatup.For personal use this is sufficiently good for me.
