amazon experience: I ordered this From Amazon with one day delivery and it reached me in time despite of heavy rain and at first i got a little concerned that a few plastic bubbles were popped but thankfully no damage was there on the laptop box itselfUnboxing: fist box was amazon box which contained the laptop box surrounded with plastic bubbles then the laptop box contained another box and a gaming bag which is rather comfortable and huge ans seems water resistant(its not) with rubber padding the laptop box contained the laptop and charger and quick start guides + warranty infoLaptop itself: initial boot took 30 secs and another 10 mins to setup windows and cortana after that there were several updates which took another 20 mins to install(windows=msi drivers) do note drivers require updating before they can function properlymoving on to keyboard mine didn’t had any dim spots (one review said he had some) and the keyboard has 3 color zones and 5 patterns of back light animation it is soft on press Which is perfect for gaming and at this point while typing this review iv got pretty comfortable with typing(travel is longer than traditional laptop keyboard and getting a little used to is required)track pad is pretty normal with good palm rejection and works with windows precision driver or synaptics driver (your choice here)security wise there is no windows hello or fingerprint scannermoving to performance I use it for after effects and 3D modeling and by default it runs on comfort on battery and sport on ac power at this point you will feel like laptop is a pretty decent performer but press the turbo button next to power button and this laptop starts roaring like a beast in turbo mode cpu clocks 4.3GHZ fans run at 5800 rpm(both of them) and the 7 heat pipes do their job it gets hot enough that get uncomfortable enough to keep it on your lap my rendering time are sometimes even faster than macbooks fcp specially if Im rendering on ssdwifi also had a loss of 2mbps on a 100mbps connection (others have upto 30mbps) battery life is okay im getting 3 hrs with intensive rendering and editing sessionsid suggest on not using a keyboard cover as i can feel the airflow sometimes being sucked through the keyboard if the bottom vent is blockedBuild and body: the msi logo glows and feel like glass rest of the lid is aluminium which is a fingerprint magnet so im getting a transparent skin for it so it wouldnt attract man fingerprintthe display needs some tuning i used my s8+ for calibration and 120hz dosent have much difference on my editing experienceat this point im back at my full speed on my keyboard

Using this laptop for over 2 months now and I am very pleased with this beast. One drawback is the integrated graphics card (I guess it is the case with any laptop) because Its not possible to disable intel graphics card and use only Nvidia.Keyboard is amazing.Top lid is a fingerprint magnet but am not bothered with that. The MSI logo lights up on the lid, gives it a great look.Another drawback is that it has non removable battery (if that concerns you)The best part is I got an MSI Case, headphones & mouse pad on registering my purchase in msi website for Back To School offer.

It’s a beautiful beast from MSI… JUST PERFECT…A gamer look with RGB SteelSeries keyboard.. Too much energetic look… Performance is top notch… i7 8th gen processor with 16 gb ddr4 2666 mhz ram…. GTX 1060 with 6 gb gddr5.. 256 gb ssd with 1 tb 7200 rpm hard drive.. What do you need more.. MSI cooler booster 5 is the best… It runs with no sound while doing everyday tasks.. While gaming its just a little bit more sound…. The port selection is perfect… Display is best in this price segment.. 120 hz refresh rate with 3 ms response time is the thing you really need in 2018…. The design looks solid… And the packaging is just great.. Its best .. Amazon.. MSI.. and Delhivery does the best job in this… The black box looks awesome… And the gaming bag is solid and its a perfect gaming bag… Just a gamer feeling in everything…Not much cons but the battery is really a down side.. MSI should look into that.. But charging is superfast with the 180 watt power break..And the the lower side of the laptop is plastic.. not that bad.. But it would have been great if it was metal….So my last comment is just buy it.. what more do you want…. It’s a MSI product….. 😎😎

Got the product for 59K in offer. Really love the build of the laptop, very premium feel (you could open it one handed!).I never intend to use this for gaming, but got the laptop for few software intensive tasks (researcher student in an IIT)PROS:1. Awesome display, with very thin bezels with good resolution2. Keyboard is good with adequate key travel; good trackpad with windows precision drivers3. Specs are great for the price (i5 8th gen, Nvidia GTX 1050 4GB graphics, 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD) with preinstalled windows 10 home. If you need performance, then you can swap the HDD with a SSD or there is expansion for nvem2 SSD stick; I do not know whether it would devoid the warranty but its worth the try as they have given the option for this modularity. There is extra RAM slot for expansion too. May be gamers can tweak this for high performance. Most other brands do not support such modular expansions.4. Ports and connectivity is decent (3 USB 3.0 ports, 1 type-c (not a thunder bolt), a HDMI port5. Battery is pretty decent (need to test in the long run); but as promised lasts ~7 hours on normal usage with internet use, office related applications6. The sound quality output is good; Nahimic-3 based MSi technology offers 7.1 immersive 3D tech. A good pair of headphones with good drivers will be good for gamers!CONS:1. There’s no combi-audio port. separate mic and audio port provided (old school)2. No thunderbolt USB-C3. No SD card slot (bad for content creators)4. Would have loved a dual drive (HDD/SSD) preinstalled5. A finger print sensor with Windows-Hello support would be nice6. A separate numpad would have been excellent!Overall for 60K pricepoint it is worth the buy if you overlook the cons!

  6. I purchased this laptop in big billion day and with all the discounts and offer this machine cost me 58k (57,990 to be precise).Q: No SSD, is it slow ?A: It has option to add 3gen PCI-e ssd, the HDD included is 7200rpm pro. When I first start using this machine it felt like this machine has came from past to kill me with frustration, applications were loading slow, getting hanged, it as luxury to switch between running application without pulling hair from head.Sol’n was very simple, re-install the OS and since after that every thing is buttery smooth.Yes SSD is faster than HDD, but I’m going to keep using HDD as it is fast enough for me.Q: How good/bad display is ?A: [Thin bezel] Display is good, Windows 10 (in dark mode) looks stunning on it and I enjoy the quality of Netflix. Youtube etc. on it. Display is bright enough for me no complains, I work in front of open window(no pun intended). I’m really happy with beautiful display. It’S NoT GoOd aS maCBoOK DiSplaY – TrueQ: Keyboarder & Track-padA: Keyboard will take some time use, but the sound it makes while typing is pleasing and key travel is really good.I’m used to Dell laptops keyboard layout so it will take time to getting use to it but, no complain on keyboard layout, I enjoy typing on it.Trackpad is also good, could be better but it is good, it recognize all the gestures and it’s responsive.Q: performanceA: I have played counter-strike:Go, Witcher-3 till now, it lagged a bit initially but after sometime things go smooth, Side get heated after 1hr of play but that is expected and it get cool down once turbo-cooler kicks in. In day to day regular usage as of now I have no complains, may in feature when I run more demanding programs then I’ll update my answer hereQ: Why do you want to buy mac machine ?A: Before buying this machine I was considering buying a Macbook pro, but after comparing the internals this machine is better. Yes macOS is faster than windows 10 but windows 10 has come long way and improved from its initial release and you always have option install Linux distros (I like Debian). Cherry on top I can upgrade RAM and SSD on this machine which is impossible with Macbook. Their are other reasons involved in choosing this machine over mac but I’m happy that I made the right choiceUSB C port also support Audio output, I use my Pixel 2 dongle to connect my earphones.

Battery life is weak and its expected in the gaming laptops.Gaming is not so good FAN makes very loud noise and heats up very quickly.Even in normal usage the CPU, RAM and disk is going very high and works very slow.I have done all the basic troubleshooting and still the same issue. I have requested for the refund but Amazon is saying they will first replace it and then they will see if it can be refund.

It is the best VFM laptop you can get from Amazon now.Pros● Display – Color and black level quality of the display is very good. There’s no back light bleed even at full brightness. Viewing angles are very good. I don’t know if its an IPS or TN .● SSD – It has a WD 250GB NVME drive with Read – 1735 MB/s and Write – 482 MB/s. There is one extra PCIE slot.● RAM – 8GB Samsung 2666Mhz. Upgraded it to 16GB.● HDD – 1TB 7200 rpm Seagate drive● CPU – i5 9300H 45w processor● GPU – 1660 TiCons:● Windows 10 Home is not activated, which is not a problem for me as I was already going to change to the free 10 pro.● Windows key is on the right side of the keyboard.● There’s a factory seal in one of the screw, so there’s a concern if MSI will honor the warranty or not if you manually upgrade your laptop.

Comes in a good packaging. Surprisingly no bubble wraps. But box and product had no damage.Comes with windows 10 preinstalled. Have to restart few times for initial updates. As many buyers have reported windows activation is not there. Dont panic. Just click on troubleshoot below the activation. Windows will be activated. Now before you start enjoying the laptop please do not forget to register the product. Otherwise you wont have warranty. There is no warranty card in the box. It is online process. Then do not forget to register for the software freebies which come with your registration benefits. It works quite fast as expected out of the box. As we know from the specs it’s supposed to be quite a beast in performance. Let’s hope it lasts me 5 or more years without issues.Dont have much pros and cons. Barely got my hands on the product. Will update after some usage.Important: some people complaining that charging port not working. Actually it might be issue with windows update. Or it is settings in MSI dragon center to restrict charging after a certain percentage to save battery life. Please open MSI dragon centre app and check. I faced the same issue. This is a feature not a bug. Hope you find this helpful.

The best part of it is its sound. If I play music in full volume, then I can’t talk to other person.Pros:- Awesome sound- Great design- Deadly performance- Keyboard backlight, using which I can work in darkCons:- It is written in description that, I will get a master key of adobe budle, which I didn’t.I will update, if I learn anything new about this laptop.

The laptop is just awesome. With its full metal build and non gamer aesthetic look, it looks very good. The performance on this thing is also pretty good. The only flaw which I could find this laptop is it’s thermal design. It just sucks, it overheats so much when you do some heavy gaming on this thing. The main problem is that both the gpu and cpu fans are put closely together, what that does is that the heat from both their heat pipes is expelled out from the same place, which is not efficient. The heat from both cpu and gpu is combined which makes it over heat. I played star wars battlefront 2 on this thing and the temperatures rose up to 96 degrees on this thing. I can’t even touch the laptop’s part below the screen cause it gets too hot and also the keyboard gets heated up too. What acer should’ve done is that they could’ve tried to place both the fans away from each other in order to achieve a better thermal design.

  24. Thermal throttling is an very big issue with this laptop. The cpu temp goes upto 96°c. I am going to replace it because i think its only with my laptop.

It’s an excellent laptop but battery won’t last for even 3 hrs , even with normal word processing and installing softwares it wasn’t holding up 3 hrs . Given that the laptop is powered with rtx 2060. Gaming was smooth and it does produce some heat but can’t complain when the gaming was smooth. This is for people who can’t build a PC and wants a laptop which can be carried around . If you are looking for a good performance you can choose to build a PC with much better specs at the same price range .

Does not have ssd- maybe that is the reason behind slow boot up.3. Spoke to acer for ssd upgrade- they will charge around 4.5k for 128gb and 6.5k for 256gb ( too expensive)4. Display is very bad, zero viewing angle – even if I tilt the laptop an inch, then some parts become dark and some parts light. If kept straight to the eyes then it’s ok.( at this price point dint expect to get such an old display)5. Charging cord is not of good quality, looks like it will wear down soon.Overall it’s a good buy compared to other laptops present in the market for this price point.I guess if we spend an additional of 3-6k for an ssd then it’s a great buy.

  55. Overall a good laptop for business users.Battery Life: Lasts me a whole day. My fair usage is running excel/ accounting software/chrome for most of the time. Fast charging is supported and can fully charge the laptop in under 30-45 minutes.Processor: latest i10 i5, does not feel stressed under any type of multitasking that i throw at it.Ram: 8gb ddr4 sufficient for daily usage.Hard disk: nvMe 512gb HDD, being latest and fastest than sata. Boot/Shut down times under 5 seconds.Display: 14″ ultra compact with minimal bezels. all aluminium chassis feels sturdy with minimal flex. Matte display is 1080p full hd with high contrast ratio which makes it visible under direct sunlight also. However colour gamut might disappoint enthusiasts as the ips panel may feel washed out.Keyboard: Excellent to type like with key stroke travel similar to lenovo thinkpads. Backlit in 2 stages.Bloatware: Minor bloat ware which can be un-installed.Weight: Under 1.3 kg makes it extremely light and easy to carry.Acer update: software updates are taken care of.Pricing: I found the pricing to be on the right side based on the hardware/i/o provided.Overall a good compact laptop for the people on the go as it is featherweight, has an all day battery life, supports fast charging, has all the latest hardware including the i10 proc, nvMe sata, ddr4 ram, fast charging support.

The Nitro 7 does not have an easy access slot to upgrade ram,ssd & hdd. There is a “warranty void” sticker on one of the screw holes. So in short, if you want to upgrade your laptop you have 2 options – pay acer (850 rs per upgrade – not possible onsite) or void warranty. This is ridiculous.

Being a budget friendly option for a game enthusiast, was a must buy for me. I got it for a pretty cheap price of around 65k on the big billion day. The laptop is very light compared to its competition but packs a punch with its i7 8750H and a full fat gtx1050. The only problem is that it does not come with a ssd being m.2 sata compatible and can’t be upgraded without voiding the warranty.OVERR ALL A MUST BUY FOR EVERY ONE Looking for a LAPTOP AT THIS PRICE POINT as it has integrated graphics to increase battery life. So gamer or no gamer…. This pc is the best for any sort of work

  71. Hope the attachment(found on MSI forum) helps ppl not to get confused over “warranty void on hardware upgrades”.Now back to the laptop,Battery is quite ok.!! 2.5hrs without gaming.8GB RAM 2666MHzSlim bezel looked too good for the price. Major reason to buy this over another similar laptop of MSI on flipkart @64k (after discount that included an 128GB SSD and an extra mini display port)And for the rest config speaks for itself. We are in 2018, I don’t understand the idea behind having a 1TB 7200 HDD, why not replace it with a mere 256GB SSD, as they anyway cost the same.!! And, no complains regarding the omission of another 2.5″, as they have designed it so well to give us a Gaming laptop under 1.86Kgs.

I have bought this laptop 3 days ago, and haven’t faced any problem yet. I bought it for 88k on Festive season deal, not the price is showing 98k.I have bought it for machine learning and deep learning which I haven’t tried yet. But I loved this laptop a lot.

  75. According to the product specifications as mentioned here and advertised on the MSI website, this specific model – MSI GF63 Thin 9SC-653 contains a 120 Hz display panel with 94% NTSC, 100% sRGB color gamut, one of the key reason I decided to buy this notebook. But after calibrating the display panel on my unit, I was shocked to find that this notebook display, which is the AUO B156HAN13.0, only supports around 45% NTSC, 60% sRGB. The colors look completely washed out and there’s uneven backlight bleeding along the bottom corners.I have been deceived by MSI’s false advertisement about the display panel of this notebook and would advise any one to look elsewhere if they prefer a quality display on a gaming laptop in this price range.

The MSI GF 63 Thin laptop feels well made and is one of the lightest gaming laptops available. Unfortunately the screen panel color spectrum is cartoonish similar to a VA panel even though it claims to have an IPS-like screen. The built-in speakers sound tiny (worse than my 6-year old 11-inch chromebook) and unclear – read: requires headphones. It is not a bad laptop by any means, just not at the current asking price of eight fifty.

Got the product for 59K in offer. Really love the build of the laptop, very premium feel (you could open it one handed!).I never intend to use this for gaming, but got the laptop for few software intensive tasks (researcher student)PROS:1.

  114. First of all MSI has good brand reputation among gamer in Desktop field but lags in laptop areas.Still Laptops products are good however needs some improvement in their products when competing with ASUS and Dell Brands.I will directly go to Pros/consPro:1) 8th Gen Intel core i7-8750H- Hexa core performance (6 core), 9 M cache, 2.2 GHz – 4.1 GHz(Turbo Boost)2) Battery- Last longer compared to other gaming laptops but gamers are adviced to play with power connected for best performance.3) Steel Series Keyboard (Red Light matching MSI logo not RGB). Keyboard Light has 3 level brightness and can be turned off.4) Dual GPU – Intel® UHD Graphics 630 for power saving and Nvidia GTX 1050 4GB for intence Graphics computing.5) Upgradable -i) has 1 more RAM slot available and max upgrade to 32 GB. ii) SSD NVMe M.2 slot available Fast storage.6) Sleek and Light weight – Good for carrying around while at College or Work.7) 2 Year warranty + 3 months additional (After registering in MSI website fill the Questionnaire of 10 min-13 questions)- 3 months additional warranty is only applicable if no warranty extension of 1 or 2 year is available on laptop.8) Chargers is sleek to carry if needed.9) Easy configurable Dragon Centre 2.0 for multiple profiles.Cons:1) Initial windows setup took 30 minutes. Initial setup and tweaks are required for performance as it is not available out of box.2) Windows full of bloatware not laptop issue but microsoft. Norton AV and Studio shall be removed it hits performance like 40%.3) Display – Brightness is not very high at maximum but its decent for indoor work and gaming (need 80%) however in broad daylight it is a issue.4) Aluminum Brush finish looks good but Finger marks of Oil and dirt looks good too:) but can be removed easily.5) Touchpad: Little wavy on bottom sides by around 0.5mm but i dont know if it is bad or good. However build quality is good.6) Pre partition of drives are horrible see attachments.7) MSI provided 1 TB HDD instead it should have been 256 GB SSD that would be in same price range and should have increased the true potential of the laptop. In overall i got the laptop at less than 60k with all the offers which is having lot more features than 80k Laptops in this range so drawbacks can be overlooked. At 70k also the price are competitive. All purchasers please be sure that MSI customer care is available near your area or it will be painful if something goes wrong. In metro cities we have but in small cities MSI reach is not available and warranty is offline and not at your doorstep. Please comment if any help required. I will be happy to answer. Have Fun Work and Gaming on New Sleek gaming Laptop.

The built-in speakers sound tiny (worse than my 6-year old 11-inch chromebook) and unclear – read: requires headphones. It is not a bad laptop by any means, just not at the current asking price of eight fifty.

Got the product for 59K in offer. Really love the build of the laptop, very premium feel (you could open it one handed!).I never intend to use this for gaming, but got the laptop for few software intensive tasks (researcher student)PROS:1.
