I bought this along with my Kindle, wondering whether I’d need a cover at all. But now that I have used my Kindle along with this cover for 2 months, I can review this product.Pros:1. Sturdy build, gives very good protection.2. Nice retro looks. Makes my Kindle look like a diary or a number book.3. The auto-sleep feature turns the Kindle screen off as soon as it is flipped close.4. Multi-way use: though I use it very less this way, you have the option to set it up as a stand.5. The best part – the band where you can slide in your hand. Makes it absolutely fall-proof during travel, provides a better way to hold too. This is by far the differentiator for me from the other covers out there.Cons:1. Slightly expensive2. I don’t like the band that holds the flip cover…it feels cumbersome to remove the flap from underneath it and put it back in while opening. Wish there was a magnet instead. And this band might lose its elasticity soon by the looks of it. But it’s not too much of a bother.Overall, one of the best covers for Kindle. I really like this.
The idea of this cover is very unique different from the other kindles.the cover wraps around the kindle and is held with an elastic band. the elastic band needs to be pulled, the cover flipped back and the elastic put back to hold the cover which is turned back. When the cover is opened, a strip with elastic is exposed through which one can slip the hand. Now the kindle can he held in one hand. for people who are reading kindle standing, this is a godsend. this is very handy for me when reading on airport buses, waiting for luggage or cabs in airport.once the cover is opened, the kindle wakes up (as promised). and herein lies one of my major PROBLEM with the device. the process of flipping the cover back and slipping the elastic band back to hold the flipped cover is a cumbersome one. It takes both your hand and you CANNOT do this without touching the kindle screen (which is already live). by the time you have flipped the cover, slipped you hand through and look at the screen – the inadvertent touches on the screen have taken you through 4 chapters, increased the font size 3 times, opened a book at random and so on.the alternate is to open the cover, wait for the screen to wake, put the kindle on standby, fix the cover back and then start the kindle again. overall, the process of setting up your kindle for reading is a bit complex. it is not like flipping a book open and getting started.Another problem with the cover is, once it is fixed, I could not figure out any way to dislodge the kindle from the casing once fixed. I am worried that I have to break open the plastic casing if I have to take the kindle out. may be there is some easy way to pry it out, by I have not been able to figure it out as yet.overall, satisfied with the product
Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product. It’s a hard case that fits a Paperwhite snugly. The case avoids contraptions like cover slots and paddings, thus keeping the form factor small. The flip cover is remarkably sturdy and folds all the way behind, leaving no trace of bulk. After using it for a week, I feel assured that this case will keep my Paperwhite safe.Recommended.
It has been a month since the kindle stopped working.I have two of them and even after a formal complaint no one fixed it for us.the after sales service is very disappointing.
I bought this cover after searching for a lot of covers online. There are a couple of bad reviews for this case as well. After using it I find it has a good fit and doesn’t cause the Kindle to fall out. Additionally, you can use the origami case as a stand for reading. This doesn’t add considerable weight to the Kindle. It will protect the device from medium drops if closed. It also saved my Kindle from a leaking bottle as the cover soaked up the water and it didn’t reach the Kindle. All in all value for money and a good product. Buy this if you don’t want to pay 2k+ for the original Amazon cover.
I was sceptical about buying this cover for my kindle because of the steep price. MRP of this cover is 3699₹ but it has always been sold at ₹2399 by Amazon. I was very lucky to buy this cover in a special deal from seller ‘Cloudtail India’ for only ₹229 in Aug 2017. Following are my observations:1) This cover is totally genuine when purchased from cloudtail india. Beware of other sellers.2)It is a perfect fit for Amazon Kindle Paperwhite only.3) It has high quality material and looks very classy.4) Auto-sleep/Auto-wake function works perfectly unlike other covers which bungle up this feature.5) Price MRP 3699 is shockingly high. Amazon sells it at discounted price of ₹2399 but I personally feel even that is WAY TOO MUCH for a device that costs 9000₹.6) Try to get it in a special deal like me.7)It does make the kindle bulkier, but the front flap easily folds back for single handed reading. If you are a careless person like me, then you need a protective cover to safeguard your kindle from scratches & falls.7) After using it for 1 week, I feel it was totally worth buying. Value for money. Had bought a proelite case for double the price and was utterly disappointed with the product received. So returned it and decided to take a chance with this since it was only half the price. Since I had seen the expensive one already this was way better fit and feel wise.This obviously would not come close to the amazons genuine cover sold for 2400 or even the nuopro case but for 499 i have no complaints.
Loved this original Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Cover Case….Comes in all the lovely colours….Though I loved the Fuschia the best…not as bright as to hurt your eyes and not as dull as to fail appealing them.First I bought the Persimmon colour but when I started reading the books ,my eyes were not able to focus completely on the words as the very bright (enough to hurt your eyes) outline was hindering my way and instead of reading the words my eyes were constantly getting attracted to its bright orange coloured outline.It was totally spoiling the reading experience for me.I am keeping both the Fuschia & the Purple Case….still Fuschia is the most gorgeous one.The case itself looks so premium, sturdy and classy.Worth the price ! Highly recommended !
The flip cover is very good. Before buying I had read many reviews of different flip covers for my Kindle Paper White, and was a bit apprehensive of how it would look. But I must say, I am extremely happy with this buy. First of all my Kindle fits in very snugly in the cover. The appearances of the cover is excellent. Though the material as claimed is artificial leather, the appearance is extremely elegant. The dark leather look brown is very very good. The magnetic opening and closing too is absolutely great. Now I don’t have to press the bottom button to put on or off. In a few other covers I had noticed a metallic clip sort of thing near the magnetic closer, which was giving those covers a very cheap look. But this appearance is very good. The cover opens 180deg if you wish. Though I am a bit apprehensive about the longevity if I keep reading the Kindle opening the cover 180deg every time, but as of now there no signs that it would fail early. Over all it a very good value for money, and a very very satisfying purchase.
Product is okay. But extremely careful while choosing color, as they replace only defective products, it’s neither returnable nor exchangable with different color. I chose brown but it was not looking that great when i got it, i wanted to replace it with pink but couldn’t do it. Hence using same color unwillingly 🙁
This cover was buried pretty deep in the search results. Only reason I found it was because a hand grip was essential for me and this is one of only two cases I found with a hand grip.. (Amazon not interested in keeping their kindle customers happy?)Turns out, this is actually the best cover to buy.. at least on Amazon’s Indian site. The cover itself looks classy. Has a nice textured finish. The elastic band holding the two flaps together also seems to be of good quality and I expect it to remain elastic for a long time still..The hand grip was the most important feature I was looking for and I’m very happy with it. Centrally placed, adequately tight and well padded for comfortable, long durations of use.The hard plastic bed for the device is also of a decent quality. There is no difficulty in connecting the charging cable to the device.Overall, considering the price, this is the best purchase for anyone who is expecting to read for long durations of time on this device. The hand grip is the most essential feature and this particular cover gets it right.The delivery service was excellent as always. Quick and in perfect condition.
Battery is draining drastically within 6 months. I need replacement for this product. I have spent 13 k to read books and its not worth at all. Please be careful before buying it.
The power button on my Kindle device was not functioning. I informed Amazon customer care, they said that my product would be replaced. In replacement, I got a refurbished device! I cannot accept a refurbished device when I have paid the full price for it. Amazon did not even inform me that they would give me a refurbished device. This is plain cheating. If you have given me a faulty product to begin with, you cannot replace it with a refurbished one. What is the fault of the customer in all this? Why should they get refurbished devices when they have paid the full amount for a new one?
Bought the purple color cover for 599, which seems to be more worth than 3699 (as printed on box).Anyway, I already had ProElite Ultra Slim Flip Case (Brain Freezer J Ultra Slim Smart Flip Cover for Kindle Paperwhite with Auto Sleep and Wake UP(Blue)). but this cover looks more solid and have better grip. The material covering the corner is hard rubber which is better than soft plastic in ProElite. The only downside is it is more heavier than ProElite.Overall, this is a solid must-buy protector for your kindle., if you are getting it for less than 1k.
I got this as a gift for my wife who has a Kindle paperwhite 2012 edition. It fits perfect, snaps right into place, super sleek and compact and the blue looks really nice. Worth the price.
Amazing product, was scared what I would get for this price but it did surprise me.Few pointers that will make the product even more superior if corrected are.1.The material is amazing but I think it would be nice if we would get a mat finish with better grip rather than gloss, which scares me when I try to carry it around.The good aspects about this product are.1. Apt with the description as done by Amazon.2. Magnet works well.( it’s new so just a value addition.3. Shipping time and updates were perfect.4. Slim and easy to carry around.5. Reasonable cost.
Do not regret this purchase. A pretty colour (I got the turquoise), seems to be hardy (I’ve only had it for about 3 months now), and I love when you open it, it kicks start the Kindle without me having to press the ‘on’ button.
Please be aware that this case will not fit the kindle paperwhite 2018. Unfortunately someone had mentioned in the Q&A section that it fits, but that’s false. The ebook fits loose into the case and might easily fall.The case however is excellent, looks good and a great value for money. I will be issuing a refund, but there’s no concern for this case if you have the earlier version of the kindle.

It’s a great ergonomic product for travelling to remote areas where luggage weight is a premium and as a voracious reader, it is hard to carry physical books in that volume. Great battery life. However, the feel especially if you wish to read lying down, is a bit unwieldy and I miss the lovely effect of page turning that I would get with my Kindle app on my previous Samsung Note 2. Also, to change the background to black (reversing the colour) is a feature missing. Still, I would definitely recommend it for readers who like to travel and pack smartly.

Now, I don’t mind that per se.What I was really bothered by was the amount of “plastic” smell that the case had. I never thought I would have to air out a kindle case, but I am going to try that for a few days. Or else return it if the smell persists (hopefully that will work) and get a case by some other company.Other things, in terms of fit with the paperwhite (mine is the original 1st gen paperwhite), magnetic lock, sleep/unlock, etc. are fine. The sizing of this Amazon laptop sleeve is totally incorrect. I ordered 15.5inches sleeve for my 15inch laptop and I got this 18inches laptop sleeve, which is way too big. I sent it back for exchange thinking they have dispatched the wrong size. But, even after exchange I got the same piece with exactly same measurements. Which means you have to order 3 inches smaller than the actual laptop size. This sleeve is huge… I can use this as my weekender… Sizing gone wrong totally. Wasted my time.
I ordered it for RS. 384 for my dell inspiron 5559 15.6 inch model.Delivery was quick.Packaging was perfect.Comes with proper padding from all around plus it gives a classy look.When I ordered it I was confused whether my 15.6 inch laptop will fit in 15 inch sleeve. It fits perfectly and provides great protection.As always completely satisfied with the product.
I have kind of become a fan a Amazon Basics products now. Though I find the durability of their products a bit unsatisfactory at times, the fact I like about them is they are value for money products. It is like they have understood the mindset of the Indian customer and have brought in affordable products which are competitively priced with fairly decent quality. But this is just my opinion. Coming back to this product itself, I bought this 7inch tablet sleeve for my newly acquired Kindle Oasis. There was no good cover I could find for the Oasis and hence decided to go in for a tablet sleeve. While browsing for tablet sleeves I came across this one from Amazon Basics and didn’t think twice before ordering it. It’s been a few days since I received this product and it is doing it’s job of protecting my Kindle. So far so good and I have no reason to complain about the product.

Decent product, Serves the purpose. Only thing did not expect plastic bottom. Is not necessarily bad. But holding the kindle feels a little hard as opposed to other covers. Magnetic lock is good. Maybe tight fit, initially closing the cover is a bit difficult as it feels small. It becomes ok after a few times. Look is also good.

However, the feel especially if you wish to read lying down, is a bit unwieldy and I miss the lovely effect of page turning that I would get with my Kindle app on my previous Samsung Note 2. Also, to change the background to black (reversing the colour) is a feature missing. Still, I would definitely recommend it for readers who like to travel and pack smartly.

It’s a kindle case. Expectations were pretty basic really. My last kindle case was worn out, and I needed a replacement. I searched a few options, and this one had the understated look that I wanted, without being a bland “black” look about it.That said, the look is a tad “shiny”. I don’t mind that. The texture is not fabric-like (like my last case) or like faux-leather. It’s immediately apparent it’s plastic. Now, I don’t mind that per se.What I was really bothered by was the amount of “plastic” smell that the case had. I never thought I would have to air out a kindle case, but I am going to try that for a few days. Or else return it if the smell persists (hopefully that will work) and get a case by some other company.Other things, in terms of fit with the paperwhite (mine is the original 1st gen paperwhite), magnetic lock, sleep/unlock, etc. are fine. Now that smell, though…
I bought this few weeks back and now i can find the price has increased. It looks fine as shown and works as expected.Fits the kindle perfectly and does the job fine. The texture is fine and i would not say this as excellent one. Magnetic lock is fine.It does the job for the price and did not find any major complaints.
