All songs are jumbled up. There is no instruments music in it although I have heard it on other sets. Bad product. Got cheated on this one. Bad buy for an expensive buy.

Good concept but terrible quality of parts used. Battery doesnt charge to full even after 10 hours of overnight charging (tried a few times). Remote control uses flimsy pieces of plastic – top 3 buttons dont work – battery stays loose in the slot provided and needed a piece of paper to stay put. Very disappointed with the product.

  3. Still experimenting on different features, third party integration like with you tube could have made it better. Search capability is not that good inspite of the fact that movies are present in the Amazon music database, it fails to find it out and play.

Not worth the hassle. The product was delivered on 7th sep without a remote, replacement was delivered on 9th with a remote tht doesn’t work.@saregama, please ensure the product is tested before it’s sent to anyone and has all the accessories@Amazon, poor customer service you do not haveam option to replace a replaced product. A product that has defects from day one. Now you expect me to request for refund and order again?

First of all it is so expensive, we can get a smartphone instead. I am writing this review after six months usage, I have only cons to say about, i couldn’t figure it out why i bought this one.1. Connectivity issue, it regularly disconnects from wifi. My wifi speed is 40 mbps.2. It has no google support, youtube streaming not possible, search results are also not good.3. Sound quality is not good for this price range, no bass. Even my sony speaker worth 3k will give 1000 times better sound.4. It will do only some predefined tasks like whats the time now, alarm, reminders and so on. Music steaming from amazon music and savn no gaana.Complete waste of money.

I have old firestick, bought this new 4K stick.. to be frank i don’t see any difference eventhough its showing as playing Ultra HD there is no much difference for 1080p and Ultra HD. Sound quality in my sound bar is okay… If you really don’t care about 4K can still buy the old stick..I returned it to save my 6k. I’m 1000% satisfied with my old one.

I have added the new remote to my existing Fire TV 2 stick and it got configured and is working fine when controlling volume and on/off the TV.Just make sure you have connected the Fire TV stick to the mains and NOT to the TV USB port for on/off to work fine.Edit: I also managed to directly control sony bravo oled android tv WITHOUT connecting a fire tv stick. Just added a Bluetooth accessory and it started working except the voice commands. I guess basically you can connect it via Bluetooth to any android tv out there without getting fire tv stick. Amazon is not advertising compatibility with android tv’s since voice search does not work. It’s much better than the tv remote for app functions.

I have a 🔥TV (non 4K) which I found to be excellent and when the 4K version was stated for release, I pre ordered it. However, I am extremely disappointed with it. I have a 55 inch Android VU TV, 2018 model which supports 4k as evidenced by 4k videos from YouTube but for the fire stick 4k, the brightness and contrast was pre set to a dismal low value. It was too dark to watch. There is nothing in it to adjust my brightness and I gave up and went back to my fire TV non 4k one which atleast looks vibrant and joyful to watch. The 4k one is just appalling. I am sorry but Amazon totally let me down here.

PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO BUY 4k FIRE STICK as it might help you with the purchase decission.I bought this device for Rs 4799 excluding bank offer of extra 10% off. It was launched in September 2018 for rs 5999 so I waited for a long time for the price drop and was able to get it in 4320 so here is my review. I already have the older version of the fire stick and I will also show the comparison with the older one.The fire 4k stick is a bit larger as compared to the older FirestickNOTE:- 4k Fire TV works best in 4k TV(I have budget 4k tv from Thomson)In the box contents:- 4k fire stick, Remote, HDMI cable, USB cable, Adapter and user manual. Why I bought this 4k fire stick?*It’s built on the Android platform and it converts your normal TV to a smart TV. (though 4k TV’s nowadays are smart)*You can install android apps on the device and play games and enjoy music too.*It is an HDMI stick and all you need is an HDMI port on your TV and you’re good to go.*It also helps to have access to the internet browsers like Firefox or Silk Browsers.*You can have access to any entertainment apps like Netflix, Amazon prime video & music, Hotstar etc (but you will have to pay the membership charges)Who all can buy it?If you are buying a smart tv there are many issues like not getting regular software updates etc and if you invest around Rs 5000 then you will get a 4k stick to stream online contents on your huge TV screen with regular software updates. There is an in-built app store of Amazon from where you can download many apps. How to Setup?1) Plug Fire TV stick 4K into your HDMI port.2) Plug the charger into a wall socket.3) Connect to wifi or mobile hotspot and enjoy.Let’s get started with the pros and cons-*Pros:-1) The build quality of the fire 4k stick is good as compared to the older version.2) Best thing of this 4k stick is that you will get the all-new Alexa voice remote, you can ask Alexa for searching on the net, to play any movie, to rewind 10 seconds or for searching comedies or action etc.3) I have a Thompson 50 inch LED TV and it is a 4k TV the viewing is very immersive and awesome as compared to the older fire stick.4) This is a very small and compact device which can stream 4k content on your TV screen all you need is a good 4k Tv and a good internet connection & you are good to go.5) Setting up the 4k firestick is very easy, it is just like plug & play.6) The Alexa powered remote is very helpful for me for rewinding or for searching any other content.7) It comes with many pre-installed apps like Amazon Prime Video, Prime music, Netflix, Gaana, & many more.8) If you are not having any cable connection or DTH connection then you can stream live tv from this fire stick, if there is a good internet connection.9) The CPU/GPU is superior (Quad-Core 1.7 GHz) so the performance is great & the WiFi chip is also great hence there will be no issues with the internet connection.10) I don’t have any complaints about the picture quality and audio.11) Volume buttons are also present in the remote which is not present in the previous firestick remote.*Cons:-1) I think it is overpriced it should have been priced around Rs 4000-4500.2) The storage given in this fire stick is 8 GB which is quite less it should have been 16 GB or 32 GB.3) The available storage is 5 GB only if you will install 12-13 apps then there will be no storage available for installing any other apps.4) Sadly there is no option for screen mirroring.5) Alexa is not connected with Google.# If you are experiencing any problem with the display then follow the following instructions-Go to settings (Settings > Display & Sounds > Display > Dynamic Range Settings and change Always HDR to Adaptive) and this will fix the dull colours.*VERDICT:- This is a future-ready device you won’t get many contents in 4k Amazon Prime, Netflix will bring up many more 4k contents on their website. Amazon firestick is having Widevine L1 DRM certification it is running on official Android OS. I will recommend you to buy this firestick the money you are investing is worth, it is better than those Chinese android boxes which don’t run on Official Android OS nor it is having Widevine L1 DRM certification.Image 1: Fire Stick BOXImage 2: Fire Stick inbox contentsImage 3: Image shot through mobile phone (4ktv) playing 4k videoImage 4: Image shot through mobile phone (1ktv) Playing 1k VideoI am sharing the images so that people can understand the difference between both image quality, I can see a lot of difference the quality has gone at least 200% much higher compared to normal TVEDIT 1: 6th Feb#I am totally in love with my new fire tv, I have installed third party apps like S Youtube(Downloaded from Aptoide)#Firetv is smooth and it doesnt have any lag or shutter#Lot of new 4k content is being added on regular basis on Netflix and as well as Prime Video#Those who want to install Youtube, they can sideload Aptoide store and install it from there (Not recommended).I hope my review was helpful, if you have any questions please feel free to shoot questions, ill be happy to answer and help you 🙂

I am using Fire TV Stick from the last 1 year. I am very much happy with the device. It has all the required features to turn your normal TV into smart. Smooth interface with no lags and compatibility with most of the Apps except the Google Apps. It totally does the job for media viewing experience. The major gripe for me with the previous version was1. Requirement to use two remotes.2. Limited Internal Storage (8GB)Amazon decided to deal with the first point and without increase in price. The new remote that has IR feature now, can Turn your TV ON/OFF and control the TV Volume. This is a very practical move which should have been included in the previous version.——–NOTE:——–Do check if your TV supports a Universal Remote for controlling. Not every brand or model does that. So ON/OFF, Volume Control and mute might or might not work.Supported Famous Apps/Games:Prime Video, Prime Music, Hotstar, Netflix, Airtel Cinema, Jio Cinema, Zee5, Viu, Youtube (Via thrid party apps), Firefox, Riptide GP2, Asphalt (But storage won’t be enough), Crossy Roads EtcUnsupported Apps:Google Photos, Google Drive, Facebook, Jio Tv, Airtel Tv, PlaystorePros:1. Easy to setup.2. Intuitive interface with curated content.3. No stuttering or hangs with good internet speed.4. Supports Phone Mirroring.5. Casting support for Prime Videos, Youtube Videos.6. Option to sideload Apks.7. Very responsive remote.8. Remote app available to control from phone.9. Alexa for voice search.10. Above all, its a stand alone device unlike chromecast.Cons:1. The screencast has a slight lag making it difficult for gaming.2. Voice search in the remote works only for the content in Prime Video, Youtube and Browser.3. Not a great game collection.4. Limited storage and no SD card support.5. Slow startup times. (Best to not switch off the adapter)6. No option to add another amazon account. Only one account at a time. Conclusion: If you are ok with using two remotes, you can buy the previous version that is available at discounted price. But if you don’t, then buy this without any hesitation. Either way you will have a great device for your family.I just wish they increased the internal storage atleast in this version. So one star reduced only for that.

Don’t buy this version now if you want to play Jio Cinema moves. I am very sad as movies in Jio Cinema aren’t streaming in this advanced version of Amazon firestick though it was working fine in previous version. Media files Jio cinema are alway in buffer mode and not playing at all. Moreover HotStar takes around 10 mins to launch. My WiFi speed is 50 Mbps. I trusted the brand so I bought in relaunch only without checking the review of the device and this made me unhappy with the big brand like amazon. I will return this advanced version and buy the initial version. Prime Video’s are streaming very well that’s why i am giving rating 1.

***************Review Update*****************With the continuous IR profile updates pushed by Amazon, the remote finally can control my TV flawlessly (Except switching HDMI port, more about it later). With this I can confidently say the remote can now control most LED TV’s (including local Indian brand TV’s) available in Indian Market, unless you really have an unknown/unheard of a brand). This is why I am bumping up my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars.Regarding the HDMI port switching: Alexa voice command “Hey Alexa, switch input to HDMI2” can switch your HDMI inputs, but this works ONLY for TV’s which doesn’t need an additional key press to confirm the selection. Unfortunately my TV needs this additional confirmation, so though the input gets selected via Alexa voice command, it doesn’t switch since the TV needs an additional confirmation. To workaround this, Amazon does support a “cycle through” option that can be enabled under “Input change options” in Equipment control. But this option is currently available only for Fire TV cube users, not for Fire TV (at least in India). The day they roll out this feature for Fire TV users, this remote in its truest sense will become a universal remote.*********************************************So I figured I wanted an universal remote which can control my TV, Fire stick and my sound bar, and just in time Amazon launched this new remote with power and volume controls, just what I needed, at least that’s what I thought until I actually purchased and used it.So, starting with the design; build quality of the new remote is almost the same as the older Firestick Gen 2 remote, except this one has an IR blaster at the front to control other devices. The remote is slightly smaller (in length) than the older remote. The remote works only with Firestick 4k, Fire TV cube, Fire TV 3rd Gen and FireTV stick 2nd gen (If you are confused, easier way to know which generation your Fire TV stick belongs to is to look at its remote. If it has Alexa button, then it is 2nd gen)The setup though looks simple, may not be straightforward, and if something goes wrong then the only way to reset is to force unpair the remote from firestick (Pressing back+menu+left selection key simultaneously). The setup process is detailed in the instructions leaflet inside. I have had many instances of the new remote freezing and not getting detected by Firestick (shows as battery offline, don’t confuse it to battery being low. It just means the Firestick is unable to detect the remote), a problem which older remote never had. The only way to recover was to unpair and repair it. The problem seem to have sorted out after a week or so (probably with newer software upgrades), don’t see those glitches anymore. Now coming to the biggest disappointment, Amazon lists Micromax TV as supported in its list of devices which can be controlled via the new remote. But it DOESN’T (PLEASE READ the updated review above, this para is not applicable anymore after newer updates which supports range of TV’s). I have manually tried changing the IR profile and tampering with the IR settings, but it never detects my TV. So that was a big disappointment for me. I am not sure if Amazon will add newer IR profiles in future via software upgrades, especially for older TV’s. If they don’t, then many of the older TV’s may not support this remote (unless you have a brand of TV which is popular in US/Europe, in which case your TV will most likely be supported already)Though it wasn’t able to control my TV, it was able to instantly recognise my Philips Sound bar, and was able to control all the features that the remote offers (Volume up/down, power and mute). But it’s not the best of universal remote; the volume down never works smoothly. Every 3-4 clicks will bring the volume level down by 1. Continuous holding down of volume down button won’t help, though it works fine for volume up button. Also the remote can’t be operated beyond certain angle like the default remote, you almost need to point it straight at the device. The remote also works well if you have HDMI-CEC support in your devices. You can set the remote to turn on and switch your TV to FireTV input (HDMI) just by saying “Alexa, turn on the TV”. Though HDMI input switching button is not available on the remote, you can do so by using the Alexa voice command. (I wouldn’t say it will work for all TV’s, but latest generation TV’s it should work). You can refer to more detailed help on controlling equipments here : https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=GAYPF3MP4SNBJF9JOverall, the remote looks promising with the features it offers, especially the voice control. I have decided to not return the product since it at least controls my sound bar (and TV someday, hopefully), and also coz I got it for 900 bucks, considering the MRP currently is1999 /-. But still a lot of work needs to go in (mostly software), for it to replace other remotes, and be called the Universal remote. For now, it does the job, but not in a way it pleases you.

  35. This is very good hardware and speaker. However very much handicapped by amazon on software front. It can not understand your commands 70-80 percentage times and very limited to amazon music and saavn. However you can not use any of good music apps like wynk, gaana, youtube etc. Also natural language processing is supported in google products but not in this echo. For example when you say-1) where is agra – it gives you correct answer.2) continue with next query like how to reach there ?Then for 2nd query it doesn’t know what to do..This is just an example but most of the times you will find this issue there. Then you can not connect with other populer music etc apps. Have to rely on what amazon thinks os good for you.Amazon music has very limited music base.So looking forward to get more access and integration with alexa however not have much hope since its already such an old plateform that they would have given support if there were any such plans.

  36. It definitely has better speakers than Eco Dot Gen2 and Google Home Mini, but sound recognition is very poor compared to Google Home Mini or even previous Eco Dot. Maybe it has something to do with cost cutting and Amazon going with only 4 far field microphones instead of 7.But due to it’s poor recognition, it takes a lot of time, sometimes even minutes and does nothing… Which definitely takes away the experience. Unfortunately I can’t return it… But I think Google Home Mini is miles ahead and better with all the new updates to Google Assistant (Sleep assist and stuff).Update as on 27th April 2019: Software has gone from bad to worst. It plays certain songs again and again, doesn’t let you skip. Recognition has also gone from bad to worst, you have to yell for Alexa to understand what you want it to do only for it to tell you it doesn’t understand what you said. And expect no support from Amazon about eco devices, it’s very bad.

This was launched on 11th and I got the product by 12th. Plus the reduced price due to sale and a nice smart bulb for just 500 rupees. Overall I think this was super value for money. I haven’t used any other smart speaker before but I am very happy with my purchase. Below are some observations :1. Initially it feels a bit weird talking to a speaker but you get used to it in no time.2. The sound quality is pretty good. You get good depth of sound with decent bass.3. Several skills available and you will definitely find some very useful. For example adding stuff to shopping list or setting up a reminder.4. Understands the Indian accent very well. Sometimes I am amazed by how well it picks up stuff.6. Kids love it. An added advantage is that they can take help for homework and talking to alexa also motivates them to talk in English

Firstly I am the early adopter of the technology and bought Amazon Fire Stick when it was launched, currently using over 7 of them in all my TVs as well as my car, simply love the freedom of watching your favourite entertainment anywhere and everywhere. Now I was too excited to see Amazon launching their 4K fire stick as with due course of time, most of the TVs have been upgraded to 4k, however there so li’l content to watch in UHD, So I ordered this 4K Fire Stick last month when it was announced.Ordering and Delivery :It was such a long wait, It took more a month for Amazon to finally launch it and even more time in delivery, I was really disappointed with long wait and even more when it was available on delivery for next day, but I had to wait as I placed my order earlier. What else there were no discounts or special pricing either on pre-orders, thumbs down to Amazon.Unboxing :I unboxed the 4K Fire Stick when the product was delivered and it was almost similar to my previous Fire sticks only visible differences were the size of this one is slightly bigger (check the pics) and there in no Amazon written on it (previous one had it). Other than that, it’s pretty similar. Remote has few additional buttons, including power on/off (Yes it can switch off your TV as well) and Volume rocker and a mute button, all are very useful and much awaited, however Volume button will only control the volume of your TV, I am not able to make it work on my Bluetooth speakers, overall its welcoming feature.Performance and difference :Now comes the most important part, how does it compares to the previous Fire Stick (2nd Gen), I installed the same on my LG55″ OLED TV to experi. Amazon Prime again has very limited options for 4K/UHD content, however Netflix do stream some interesting content, I played the same on UHD quality and yes there was certainly some improvement in the quality, even the usual content (1080P) was slightly better as reported by my wife, who is addicted to daily soap operas and reality shows. Having said that the difference was not that great, which I was expecting. Moreover when I tried the same on some friend’s low budget UHD TVs, it was minuscule and one cannot makeout any difference in quality of the image or sound. I was expecting it to be faster as the specs are much better than my previous fire sticks, however to my utter surprise, it was infact much slower to browse through different apps and much more laggy in browsing through menus, I just hope maybe some firmware update will improve the same, however in current iteration it feels more like a downgrade than upgrade.Final Verdict :Well if you have a high quality UHD/4K TV, high speed broadband connections (I am using 1gbps connection), Netflix premium subscription, this is your first Fire Stick, techno-head and have an eye for detail, then I would say it’s a worthy pick, for everyone else normal Fire Stick would do just as good. This one definitely comes with additional buttons on remote and was bundled with Alexa, however the later was also added in previous Fire Sticks and stole that advantage as well. Maybe some firmware update in future will improve its performance or some considerable drop in price will make it a compelling buy but till than I am sticking to my previous fire sticks for all other devices. Thanks for reading !Update : The remote is extremely unresponsive, at times doesn’t work at all, or scrolling is continuos (you can’t stop it), already applied for the replacement, will comment once replaced.Update 2: 4K Fire Stick is just getting worse, it hangs even with 1gbps connection and modem less than 1m away from it, even worse it can’t stream movies from my NAS, which is again connected through same Wifi network. Most of the times if losses connectivity from router stating, No network available, surprisingly previous (2nd gen) Fires ticks works flawlessly on the same network, this one is also extremely slow and unresponsive, I have even reset it to factory defaults multiple times and result is same every time. What is more frustrating, that Amazon is not responding for replacement or refund, feeling duped by Amazon this time.Update 3 : After umpteen no. of attempts, endless conversations with customer care and spending hours with their technical support team, today I have finally returned their 4K Fire Stick device, as the review suggests, its totally not worth it, Hopefully Amazon launches a better, lag free, bugs free update and I might go for it, as for now, I have to contempt with the normal fire stick, 4K/UHD content has to wait.

I am using Fire TV Stick from the last 1 year. I am very much happy with the device. It has all the required features to turn your normal TV into smart. Smooth interface with no lags and compatibility with most of the Apps except the Google Apps. It totally does the job for media viewing experience.———UPDATE———Video added to show a demo of the interface and Alexa Functionality in the device. Hope it helps.——–NOTE:——–Do check if your TV supports a Universal Remote for controlling. Not every brand or model does that. So ON/OFF, Volume Control and mute might or might not work. The new remote that has IR feature now, can Turn your TV ON/OFF and control the TV Volume. This is a very practical move which should have been included in the previous version.————————————–Supported Famous Apps/Games:————————————–Prime Video, Prime Music, Hotstar, Netflix, Airtel Cinema, Jio Cinema, Zee5, Viu, Youtube (Via thrid party apps), Firefox, Riptide GP2, Asphalt (But storage won’t be enough), Crossy Roads Etc———————–Unsupported Apps:———————–Google Photos, Google Drive, Facebook, Jio Tv, Airtel Tv, Playstore——Pros:——1. Above all, its a stand alone device unlike chromecast.——-Cons:——-1. The screen mirroring has a slight lag, making it not suitable for gaming from phone.2. Voice search in the remote works only for the content in Prime Video.3. Does not have a great game collection.4. Limited storage and no SD card support.5. Slow startup times. (Best to not switch off the adapter)6. No option to add another amazon account. Only one account at a time.————–Conclusion:————– If you are OK with using two remotes, you can buy the previous version that is available at discounted price. But if you don’t, then buy this without any hesitation. Either way you will have a great device for your family.I just wish they increased the internal storage at least in this version.

My original Fire Stick remote magically stopped working 4 days before the launch of Gen 2 remote. The new one works fine. The power and volume control need more work, as its stopped suddenly after having successfully configured with the tv. Ideally Amazon should buy-back old Fire stick/ Alexa devices if they expect us to upgrade.

So one star reduced only for that.

Very very nice product. After using it i have disconnected my DTH connection as it is useless. If u have a good data pack with mobile or broadband or dungle then use fire stick, not DTH. Aftet TRAI new rule, it is exepensive to see the normal paid channels. I have a request to Jio to provide JioTV app for fire stick.

Just want to keep this feedback simple. The remote control that comes with the bundle has stopped working in just 2 months of my purchase and isn’t functional inspite of changing the batteries. This is pretty frustrating. No idea what to do. Worst, Amazon sells it separately for Rs 1999.

Lots of Alexa voice commands which is getting responses in echo spot, fire stick is not getting any appropriate response in echo show. Most of the amazon prime videos which I have been viewing in echo spot and fire stick is not available in echo show, so it is a waste of money and most horrible experience is the customer service people don’t know how to fix the problem. They simply saying return my newly received product and now I have returned the initial product and the replacement product is also having same issues. Moreover the replacement product appear refurbished, it is showing multiple evidence of the package being open.So my suggestion is that this product is having multiple software issues, which the experts of amazon dealing with echo show device not aware of it.So in my opinion it is not a right time to purchase because it is having multiple issues in comparison to other echo device like Echo and echo spot, this is my observation as a common man having all the three echo device Echo, Echo spot and echo show.Something is wrong or missing in echo show device. So my suggestion is please don’t buy Echo Show for few days to months until this streaming of various programs of Amazon prime video section play with out any problems. I am regretting now because I have to say multiple times to get the amazon prime video shows and movies to be played in my echo show. Few examples of videos not playing in echo show are Munki and Trunk cartoon video, Shaun the sheep cartoon video, dr House English video series etc

Another Great product in the echo family. Buy echo-show. Thank my luck I would have purchased echo sub, but this gives the same great sound and adds a screen. This has inbuilt Sub and a 10 inch screen that gives a great room filling sound and a large screen for good video call experience. Has zigbee hub built in so your philips hue bulbs can be controlled without the philips hue hub.At loud volumes it did have difficulty hearing the Alexa commands.
