Bit late on the feedback but boy oh boy I was impressed with the packaging (It was so good I still have it with me for no reason because I couldn’t bring myself do throw it away). Now coming to the product, this is some A grade scanning machine with ample amounts of functionalities in its segment. Chose this after deliberating a lot over this and the HP Scanjet 200, could not find many side by side comparisons between Scanjet 200 and LiDe 120 but found a lot between Scanjet 200 and Canon LiDe 110 and the 110 was coming off better than the HP (sleeker, lighter with more scanning area and functions) therefore going for the 120, an upgrade over the 110 was a no brainer. The scanner provides good scans even at medium setting, and speed is also fine. Did I mention that the packaging was good??
Good for scanning. Printouts are not that great of the scanned copies. 5 stars for its compact design and easy of use, ability to scan documents of any length is a plus.
Very good and very fast scanner. Must go for it. It has a lot of options. It can scan multiple files continuously and make them one pdf file automatically with OCR recognition. It can do color enhancement also for your pictures. There are many other features too. Easy to install and user friendly.
It supports Ubuntu Mate 16.04 LTS.Tested the scanner with gscan2pdf & simplescan app. both of them are acquiring the scanned image from the device. Though it might not work “Out of The Box” with your distribution but it’ll definitely work after a simple workaround. The box was not sealed.There was no driver CD the cover was empty.So I download drivers from online.But did not work.The product was defective.Lastly the product was already used by some one else.I checked while I was installing the drivers.The bill given was in some else name.Returning the product and asking for a refund.
Perfect.. It scanning legal size Documents.. Better than other product.. Speed is also good.. And comfortable due to inbuilt software from canon.. No need to install 3rd party app for merge file together and sanned in every format.. also portable.. Far better than 4-5 k rupees printer size scanner wich only scan A4 size pages.. Thanks again.. Delivery also good 5star for Canon and Amazon..

The product is old technology and comes with drivers on CD! The latest laptops do not have CD drive …… I checked at the Canon website for the drivers and they do not even have this product listed under “Scanners” section. I requested Amazon to let me upgrade to later models at additional cost but they expressed their inability to do anything.
An average scanner with an average scanning quality and speed for its price (nearly Rs 5000) (3 Star for this) . Software utility CANON QUICK MENU while starting up hangs most of the time in Windows 10 (1 Star for this). Max scanning quality is 600 dpi only. Buttons on the machine don’t function at all (0 Star for this). One has to use its functions through PC / Laptop only. Exterior surface is Dust magnet.
I have been using this scanner for more than a year, it works really well for all kinds of scans. Works on books, any A4 printed document, photographs etc. Companion software makes it easy to change scan settings and to create multi-page PDF file output. Absolutely no complaints so far. It is also very light weight and fits well in small spaces.
