Reason for 1 star is I ot an defective piece. The sound quality was not good . My laptop started giving issues with power button from 4 months. The screen would flicker and it would shutdown automatically after sometime. Took the mac to service centre. They replaced the motherboard free of cost as it was in warranty. Now my mac is perfectly fine :

What an amazing computer!! I’m writing this review with it RIGHT now!!! I resisted buying a MAC because my dad LOVED programming and could do so in a computer’s language (DOS). He refused to let Apple tell him what he could and couldn’t do. Needless to say, he ALWAYS had a PC. And I thought, “well I don’t wanna disappoint my dad and use an inferior computer!”I, however, am not the intellect he was… so I need a computer that a dummy like me can navigate. Truth be told, it’s not a computer for dummies, but if you just want to do something and avoid fighting with virus protection coupled with the need to create something easily, well this will make that possible!I have not stopped obsessing on this MAC since it arrived in the mail from Amazon! It arrived fast, fired right up and within minutes, I was personalizing it and having a good time just learning how to use it!! It’s one of my best pals! Also, Order this Laptop from wplov .in/11. and Get 10% Discount + 6 Month Extended WarrantyHope this helps! If helped then Please Press the Helpful Button.Happy Purchasing

5 star for amazon delivery- got the laptop within 12 hours of placing the orderAbout the laptop after 2 days of minimal usePros1. Feels light and premium2. Touchpad is smooth3. It has the latest 10th gen of i5 processors4. It charges quickly-90mins5. Battery gave up to 4-5, hours since I used it to install software and other updates.6. Dedicated graphics mx250 kicks in only if needed.7. Sound is ok ( not loud, but it’s fine for a closed room)8. It comes with Microsoft office9. Keyboard backlight is present, not mentioned in description10. Option to add and additional ssd storage11. Display is bright12. The display has hinges with 180° (just pointing out- dont know why its useful but dint have it in my previous laptop)Cons1. Performance- expected it to be faster ( haven’t used it much but to open programs and to boot up it takes approximately same time as my 6 years old hp laptop)2. Does not have ssd- maybe that is the reason behind slow boot up.3. Spoke to acer for ssd upgrade- they will charge around 4.5k for 128gb and 6.5k for 256gb ( too expensive)4. Display is very bad, zero viewing angle – even if I tilt the laptop an inch, then some parts become dark and some parts light. If kept straight to the eyes then it’s ok.( at this price point dint expect to get such an old display)5. Charging cord is not of good quality, looks like it will wear down soon.Overall it’s a good buy compared to other laptops present in the market for this price point.I guess if we spend an additional of 3-6k for an ssd then it’s a great buy.

I brought the Acer swift 3 i5 10gen 512SSD. Performance and battery life is very good. Light weight. Speaker sound is poor. Looks great.

  9. Overall a good laptop for business users.Battery Life: Lasts me a whole day. My fair usage is running excel/ accounting software/chrome for most of the time. Fast charging is supported and can fully charge the laptop in under 30-45 minutes.Processor: latest i10 i5, does not feel stressed under any type of multitasking that i throw at it.Ram: 8gb ddr4 sufficient for daily usage.Hard disk: nvMe 512gb HDD, being latest and fastest than sata. Boot/Shut down times under 5 seconds.Display: 14″ ultra compact with minimal bezels. all aluminium chassis feels sturdy with minimal flex. Matte display is 1080p full hd with high contrast ratio which makes it visible under direct sunlight also. However colour gamut might disappoint enthusiasts as the ips panel may feel washed out.Keyboard: Excellent to type like with key stroke travel similar to lenovo thinkpads. Backlit in 2 stages.Bloatware: Minor bloat ware which can be un-installed.Weight: Under 1.3 kg makes it extremely light and easy to carry.Acer update: software updates are taken care of.Pricing: I found the pricing to be on the right side based on the hardware/i/o provided.Overall a good compact laptop for the people on the go as it is featherweight, has an all day battery life, supports fast charging, has all the latest hardware including the i10 proc, nvMe sata, ddr4 ram, fast charging support.

Okay. So you have been seeing people display their Macbooks and you have always fancied owning one of those premium devices. Now, as Amazon offers this Macbook Air at a reduced price, you are getting tempted to buy this. STOP and consider what you get for the money you spend. Do not buy this if you think this adds some premiumness to your profile. It will not – because this device is next in line where support will be withdrawn by Apple. Resist temptation – because THAT is what Apple sells. The last reason to buy should be your feeling that it improves your profile. Apple users will smirk when they see you with an obsolete ‘dinosaur’ device as they display their latest toys.If you are a windows user – better go to some friend’s Macbook and try some activities. MAC OS is great till you try to change something as puny as your mouse cursor!! You realise that you are stuck in the little cozy jail of Apple once you try anything non-standard. Try transferring data by a USB stick from your other laptop to this one …. you will need training. USB partitioning has to be only ExFAT – and evn if you do this partitioning on a MAC, chances are that Windows will not recognise the USB stick. If you are not a power user – this can be a real pain. Of course, you can pretend (like so many thousands of Apple users) that these do not matter. But hey – they do. A premium DELL or HP may be the best option for you. (Yes, I will first discourage you from buying this and then explain why I purchased this for myself)Know that you are giving up the option of buying RAM or SSD from the neighbouring shop to extend the device life. You wil depend on Apple and on Apple alone. Of course there are generic spares – but these too are more expensive than the DELL or HP spares. Once Apple pulls the plug of support, these spares may get even more expensive. In fact, hardware upgrade beyond increasing the SSD is very much a rare luxury. Thankfully, I have kept myself out of this snob-race that Apple peddles. If you are still reading – here are the good sides (why I purchased this in spite of what I wrote above)A Mac is a Mac is a Mac. So is this one. The hardware are perfectly matched and performance is always optimal. This laptop is for carrying along as a second laptop, alongside my official one, a DELL workhorse. MAcbook Air is lightweight and can run other operating systems. I use this to run Windows and Linux. The MAC OS is a very stable Operating system. Chances are that you will never face a single crash in your lifetime of using this Macbook Air. Windows is fragile (too many bugs and updates) and Linux is difficult (you need a little training). That’s where the Macbook Air comes in Handy. With Parallels desktop, you can load Linux and Windows on Virtual Machines on the Mac. You can seamlessly go from one OS to another without rebooting. However, note that with ‘parallels desktop’ you are operating Windows and Linux from your little cell in the Apple jail. And be prepared to shell out a good amount to “buy” this software. It is possible to load linux differently so that it works outside the Apple shell. Quite a saving grace. Using BootCamp (through a dual bootng feature), you can take advantage of the multi-tasking power of Windows without the risk of getting blue screens or hanged functions. So overall that looks great. Now coming back to my rating… I run mostly Windows and Linux on this MAC. Happy with it because the hardware is great. I consider myself a power user – so I know that I can find alternatives for this if and when Apple pulls the plug of support (should be available for at least another year, and a certain period after that as Apple’s support to “obsolete” devices). Hence a durability rating of 3 stars only !!That (above) is the truth laid bare. Please decide and buy at your own risk.~~ Buy this if you like the hardware (but know that DELL or HP would give a much better hardware at this price, and those will be upgradable and last much longer than this)~~ Buy this because you understand that this hardware is very stable and Mac OS can protect your windows as it works in the MAC Shell. Buy this because you can run Linux once Mac makes this obsolete.~~ Do not buy this if you feel it adds to your premium value. It will be a dinosaur soon and you will be left stranded. Think of the plight of iPhone 5, which was premium 24 months ago. People rushed and purchased their “cheap iPhone” around a year back. Today, they have no pride in showing off a device that is obsolete. Tomorrow, Apple will make it sluggish and they will be forced to upgrade.EDIT/ADD [02/12/2019]: If you plan to upgrade your SSD to 500GB, please look at SSD (ASIN:B07J2WBKXF) with adapter (ASIN: B07D7VM8GM). I have been able to successfully upgrade myself. Review is on the SSD page.

Finally a MacBook possession. Got it in 50k in Diwali sale. Technically good laptop.Good News.luxury product, niche technology, good battery life, reliable machine (other laptops crash and become defunct in 6-10 years), no anti-virus required, security of data and transactions much better. Terrific sense of possession & pride.Bad News. Problems will be there if you are switching from windows based system – very less space in hard disk, no CD drive, inability to transfer data from Mac to your existing external hard disc unless you format it, apps are mostly paid and re unreasonably expensive (no free apps which are available otherwise on google play store, even the angry bird costs Rs 400 !!), all printers are not compatible (e.g. the most economical MFD laser printer RICOH SP 111 can’t be used), huge compatibility issues with Pages (MS Word) and Keynote (powerpoint) unless you master it by working on these (still mostly the document and slides either do not open in windows environment or have distortion issues). you need to spend extra for an external CD writer and tp buy a carry bag. Mac con not be connected to most of the projectors unless you buy some connectors, which are expensive and theres no clarity which one to buy and from where. you can’t connect it to your TV, the ports are different and again theres no clarity – customer support, manuals or help section are silent ! Marketing strategy for Indian market, if at all has been planned, has been very bad. If these critical issues (and a few more not mentioned here) are handled properly, the Mac can sweep away other laptops in India. Presently, it doesn’t seem to be happening.Overall Verdict. If compatibility issues mentioned above do not bother you, go for it. Else, think hard. If its an emotional issue to own a long cherished Mac, then its a different thing. Go ahead and gradually you would figure out most (but not all) of the above problems, like I did.

  17. The laptop is amazing, Finally… But the problem is I still can’t customize it on amazon or in Apple stores (India). The MacBook Pro 16 I want…- 2.4GHz 8‑core 9th‑generation Intel Core i9 processor, Turbo Boost up to 5.0GHz- 64GB 2666MHz DDR4 memory- AMD Radeon Pro 5500M with 8GB of GDDR6 memory- 2TB SSD storageBut these customization options are only available in foreign countries. That is why it sucks…

An scissor mechanism keyboard, 16-inch display and big battery does the 16-inch MacBook Pro a best option for the serious people out there.Pros: Improved Magic Keyboard, 16-inch display with slimmer bezels, Performance House, 6-speaker audio best in class and 11 hours of battery life. What I didn’t like:Upgrades to the processor upto i9-8cores, GPU upto 8GB, RAM upto 64GB and storage options upto 8TB SSD.(But in US only), dispite being so priced display isnt 4k, Touch Bar still doesn’t make a compelling case for itself, Ports are still limited to USB-C, No full-size USB port or SD card slotBut I would recommend the 16-inch model new model MacBook Pro for everyone interested in getting one.Hope the review helps you.

Unlike other product reviews, I feel a compulsion to write this, in absolute admiration of a remarkable piece of human workmanship. Typing on the keyboard is such a pleasurable feeling! The hard click and stop, and the shorter key travel compared to the older Mac Air paradoxically feels just great! Hooverphonic playing on its finely perforated speaker bands on either side of the keyboard is sounding more alluring than ever before. The massive touchpad is butter-smooth and supremely responsive. I enabled click-to-select in the setting.I was torn between buying a MacBook Pro and the new Air. I finally decided on a slightly lesser powered computer which will last longer on a single charge and is marginally lighter. Also, the Mac Pro has a more blocky design which does not taper at the wrist level and you will be able to discern its hard edge at the wrist, perhaps. The touch ID security chip-enabled power button is only there in the highest version of the MacBook Pro along with the Touch Bar and the latter has mixed reviews. If you know touch typing you are unlikely to look at the keyboard and Touchbar. Plus, the MacBook Pro with Touch Bar is quite a bit expensive and I realized that I will not find benefits from the excess cash burned other than the eye candy effect of the Touch Bar. But, the blockiness, the excess hundred grams, and the two fewer hours of battery juice are something that I will feel every day. I opted for the 256 Gb variant since I maxed out quite early on the older, 128 Gb Mac Air. The touch ID button is quite useful and you do not have to enter the password again and again. The retina screen is brilliant in the Air and unless you are a professional graphics artist you will not find any difference between the screens of the Air and the Pro (the color accuracy is supposed to be better in the Pro). So, day one with Mac Air was special.

2 lakh for a laptop and no Graphic Card included? What a joke. Have been waiting for the updated surface. But the specs doesn’t look good. Nothing great about this laptop. Sorry.

  46. If I could summarize this laptop I would say it is the macbook for the windows world.Keep that in mind while making your decision.THIS LAPTOP IS NOT FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT A BANG FOR BUCK DEVICE. More oriented for people who want the practicality and clean & purest windows experience directly from microsoft.Note: Bought for 74K with HDFC offer. (prime day sale)Pros:Great display + touchscreen (added benefit)Fluid experiencekeyboard and trackpad are among the best , (much better than the lenovo and hps’s out there)Webcam is great ; Battery life is nice; No fan noiseGreat ultrabook for travellersCons:ONLY 90 GB available at first bootLack of portsNO freebies like free office for 1 yearMight add the fact that microsoft servicing can be a problem is small cities. AND this laptop is completely sealed under the alcantara fabric so dont even think your local technician will be able to diagnose the problem. Device has very tough repairability.Strictly not for gamingAll in all i can say its aimed towards mac users who want to switch to windows and want all the great mac stuff like excellent trackpad/keyboard and battery life as well as the ease of use and one can also say the brand value . This laptop nails the basics very well.TAXES TAXES TAXES, I paid 12,000 tax for this laptop (18% GST) as its completely imported , so who all are complaining about pricing is on higher side kindly consider our countries import rules you will find the answer.

2 lakh for a laptop and no Graphic Card included? What a joke. Have been waiting for the updated surface. But the specs doesn’t look good. Nothing great about this laptop. Sorry.

I received a defective product having battery issue , device keeps shutting down unexpectedly around random number below 40 percent .Some times battery percentage automatically increases also which is ridiculous 😡I contacted Amazon for replacement but they refused and asked me contact Apple.Just imagine how you will feel after spending over 1 lac on laptop to get a defective product and then rushing to Apple Care . Horrible experience by Amazon.I highly recommend you to get this product from Apple Store , so you can check it during your purchase and get replacement easily.Over all MacBook Pro 13 inch 2019 is no brainer and great package , you should consider this over MacBook Air .

Unlike 2018 models, the Macbook Pro 13 in it latest July 2019 release, covers all its cons which includes a fast quad core i5 processor, touch ID, touch bar which adds a cool factor to otherwise a simple laptop, new design butterfly keyboard which is now more tactile, and more. I was waiting for this release and as soon as it was launched on amazon, I ordered it.I got the delivery next day which is impressive as the croma store was also taking one day for delivery and was not offering any discount, priman was giving back to school discount of 4.5% but it was asking 4-5 days for delivery.Regarding the review, you can watch youtube videos on it where they show how fast is this Macbook Pro compared to the previous generations, even faster than some 15 inch ones.I have been a windows user and one thing I noticed with macOS is that it is simple, straight forward and fast. I heard a lot about the track pad on Macbooks and it was yet a new discovery for me moving from windows. The gestures are very intuitive and easy to adapt. I still use a windows laptop alongside Macbook and its track pad always leaves me wanting for more. The screen is vibrant and color accurate but not as punchy as an OLED or a 4k display. True tone is a useful feature specially if you use your computer for long hours. Speakers are unmatched and you wont miss you headphones if you forgot to carry them on your trip. One thing i experienced with this Macbook is that it feels heavy compared to its size. Now the battery is what amazed me. I can’t keep my windows laptop and its charger separated for long but this Macbook has crazy long battery life. If you leave your Macbook lid closed overnight, the battery will just drop by one or two percent at max.Overall I paid for an experience and till now I am having a good one. Only thing I feel that 1.34lac is still a high price for this laptop. But hey, the price is an entry barrier and if you like exclusive things then this Macbook is for you.

With this machine, nothing is impossible!***As an IT undergrad in a tier 1.5 college, I can safely say that you can execute almost all the things included in your B.Tech course with this beast expect for some electives like Machine Learning and MATLAB.***Was looking forward for it’s release for a long time. According to me, You should buy the MacBook Pro instead of MacBook Air as 1) It’s super fast 2)It’s slimmer than the Air 3) You get touch bar (which I’m not a fan of) (All these features by investing a few more bucks.)***As this beasts base model comes with only 128 GB internal SSD, you are going to have to buy a external SSD (Personally, I recommend going with SanDisk SSD, as it’s super portable, durable and lightweight.Usually, I don’t give out 5 starts, but this machine truly deserves the full rating. Again, it’s a huge investment , but believe me, it’s worth it. So if you can afford it, I’d definitely recommend you to buy it 🙂

    1. Received defective product and it took more than a weak to get the replacement. It was horrible experience with amazon while getting replacement.2. Not at all value for money and one will have to buy bunch of ubs type-c converter adapters that are not cheap.3. Worst build quality ever made in MBP series. I guess 2015 MBP is the last ever made Pro with the decent build quality.4. 2.3Ghz is definitely what we are not expecting in this price range.5. My old mid 2012 MBP is 100 times better than this 2017 model.6. Never ever upgrade MBP OS. I faced too many crash issues after upgrading.

Excellent laptop. This is 2017 model. One small tip for those who wants to buy MacBook- please check the model number , it will tell you the year of manufacturing, one can search it on Wikipedia. This is very important as you should not pay such a huge amount on older models. Don’t just buy bcoz the product has more reviews.

Over priced laptop with no touch screen even after re-launching an ‘Air’ model almost after 7 yrs. I would prefer paying little extra and get more powerful Macbook Pro instead. Also Amazon must edit the configuration detail in page. It has 128 GB SSD (Solid State Drive) not Hard Disk.

The retina screen is brilliant in the Air and unless you are a professional graphics artist you will not find any difference between the screens of the Air and the Pro (the color accuracy is supposed to be better in the Pro). So, day one with Mac Air was special.

Fantabulous design and built quality. Tremendous and long lasting battery life. Smoothest, bigger and multifunctional touchpad. Superb picture quality and screen harmless for our eyes. Very comfortable to hold in a single hand. Overall a must buy even if you aren’t a fan of mac!!

**Update – 22 June, 20191. Overheating issues (Open Chrome & Mozilla at the same time and you’re done.). I can’t use two applications at the same time as it’s fan starts to make hell lot of noise.2. Keeps on freezing.3. SpaceBar doesn’t work most of the time. And sometimes, it inputs two spaces.4. There seems some lines on screen sometime, while watching videos.5. 8GB for macOS seems too low, go for 16GB laptop at least if you are going for Apple.Thanks.————————————–This was my first ever apple laptop. And all I can say is that I liked the hardware.I would still prefer Windows over MacOS. I am missing a hell lot of functionalities here. Being a heavy Windows user who have used Windows to its best extent, MacOS is not my cup of tea. However, I got what I paid for in terms of hardware. The only thing I liked in Mac is its TrackPad. Windows is nowhere in comparison with trackpad.Battery doesn’t last long than 4-5 hours.Speakers are good. The sound comes out of them is awesome.MacOS has lot of limitations in terms of features. I can list 20-30 features which I am missing here. Gonna install Windows soon.BTW, the product is beautiful. Best in design. That’s the beauty of Apple. What else to say?Windows is still my choice for OS. Apple is my choice for hardware. That’s all.

What I didn’t like:Upgrades to the processor upto i9-8cores, GPU upto 8GB, RAM upto 64GB and storage options upto 8TB SSD.(But in US only), dispite being so priced display isnt 4k, Touch Bar still doesn’t make a compelling case for itself, Ports are still limited to USB-C, No full-size USB port or SD card slotBut I would recommend the 16-inch model new model MacBook Pro for everyone interested in getting one.Hope the review helps you.

i bought this new 2019 version december 20 2019. and after 20 days. im getting only less than 3hrs battery life, i know that’s depends upon the softwares i used. also both speakers and mic has dead. i was using same 2018 and 2017 macbook pros. i didn’t find any these kind issues. this is not my first experience with this seller. idk this one refurbished one or not. i know that speaker and mic issues is not a software bug. I’ll recommend to buy these kind of products from a authorised store. i believe apple also going to start their e-commerce site in india before dec 2020

  273. I currently have a Macbook Pro, and Surface Pro 7 and a Surface Go. Macbook Pro is used for all professional work, Surface Pro 7 is mainly used when I am travelling due to its weight and form factor, and Surface Go lies in my car and I use it for random surfing and checking mails /office communication when I go to cafes or restaurants.I was looking for a new laptop for personal use at home, specially when lying in bed or sitting on the couch. Surface Pros screen is a bit small for long usage and is best used when sitting on a table. I did a lot of research and shortlisted Macbook Air, Thinpad X390 and a few other laptops from Dell, HP and Lenovo. But eventually decided to go for Surface laptop 3 and have not been disappointed.Pros:Premium look and feel. Looks different and the platinum shade is very good, specially in bright environments.Very light weight, compact and easy to carry.Very bright sceen and good resolution. Touch functionality is plus.Very good typing experience.Solid built quality.Great performance, the 10th gen i5 shines.Good battery life.Competitive price.Taller screen due to its aspect ratio makes it much more usable for productivity aspects.Cons:Slight flex in keyboard because of Alcantara material, but does not hamper the typing experience. You get only around 70 GB of usable space when all installation is done. This is ok if you only use the laptop for surfing , using MS Office , or watching videos. Not suitable for professional use.The screen is very reflective and may need some adjustments in view angle in outside environments or under certain lighting conditions. All and all this is one of the best premium laptops out there and very good option to consider. Those who say its expensive dont know what they are talking about to be honest, In all the brands that I looked for ultra portable laptops including Apple, Dell, Lenovo Thinkpad etc. all configs which had Core i5 10th gen were costing 1L plus. This is surely one of the best Windows laptop at this price point.
