This Kindle would be an amazing deal for someone who is looking out to save some money!! You are also doing your share of contributing to nature by using a product that has been recycled!! Even-though this Kindle has a refurbished tag, except for some hard to notice usage signs, the Kindle is perfect inside out!! Amazon has done a great job in providing this line of refurbished Kindle!Though, when I received my Kindle, it was booting only to Diagnostic Mode which made me quite disappointed. But, Amazon was quick to rectify the mistake with a replacement immediately. Later when I searched online did I come to know that it was a minor software defect which I could have solved on my own. The person who tested my Kindle at factory had forgotten to exit the Diagnostic Mode. Except for this minor problem which could have been solved without replacement, I am completely satisfied with my Kindle!!It works exactly like a new one and looks 98% identical to a new one!! Buying this Kindle could be more beneficial as we are getting a device that has been thoroughly tested to work like a new one at a lesser price than the new one!! I would recommend this device to anyone who would love to get a great Kindle experience at a lesser price!! One year manufacturer warranty is a bonus that hardly any manufacturer would provide for their refurbished product!! As I have bought and used it, I recommend anyone to confidently buy it. This Kindle is a great deal!!

While changing page sometimes it shows content of both pages mixed , it is normal behaviour or abnormal, my belief is to get it replaced as it my have some hardware or software issue

After 5 months of usage the produce is not charging and neither switches on. I do not see an option to request for a replacement in Amazon!
I used to own a kobo glow e-reader, which had built in light. But it was somewhat slow if many books were loaded. Now this kindle is buttery smooth when “flipping” pages, and there is no ghost texts of the next or previous pages when i turn the kindle sideways. I had that problem with my old kobo glow e-reader.

Upper half has yellowish hue whereas lower half is white in comparison. It’s not a major issue for me and okay compromise at this low price of 8.1k.If uneven hue could be an issue for you just go for current paperwhite available at 10.2k (or 9.2k) at discounted price.

Comes with a free extended warranty i.e, a 2 year device protection plan free of any charge. (For customers who pre- ordered it).9. Word Wise and Vocabulary Builder are very good features.10. I have been using it for 2-3 days now.Pros-As always experience of reading on kindle is awesome-Screen is good though just 167 ppi, u can notice a little haziness-Light is very good , very even can read in dark comfortably-Touch is also working very well-Can read any time any where, you are never without a bookCons-Strangely in 2 days use it had abruptly restarted twice, not sure what is that. Will wait for few more days to test this issue- battery life is not that good, it could be due to light but its certainly not gonna last weeks-its 4GB but you only get around ~2.6 GB
Pros:- The screen is far better than the previous one that I owned(6th gen basic kindle).- The screen contrast is very good. Fonts are more legible compared to the previous generation basic kindle- The display is updated to E-Carta. This is good in terms of technology.- The backlight is definitely a USP of this product. The light spread out evenly across the display panel. Even keeping backlight to 1 point is enough for most people for comfortable reading.Cons:- Unlike in the US version, there is no Bluetooth support. Hence users may not be able to use audiobooks from audible. But this only a matter of software update that Amazon can enable the BT interface. Not sure when this might happen.- They gave Rs.200 give e-book voucher on pre-order. They could have given 3 months kindle unlimited like in the US.- I am skeptical about battery life. Need to use the device for a few more days to determine actual battery life.- The difference of color of charging indicator LED is hard to tell when the device is charging or completely charged.Price is fair in my opinion as kindle without special offers(with ads) is sold at $109 in the US which translates to INR7700/-. Expecting this for less price does not make any sense unless this is manufactured in India.

It’s not a major issue for me and okay compromise at this low price of 8.1k.If uneven hue could be an issue for you just go for current paperwhite available at 10.2k (or 9.2k) at discounted price.
After 5 months of usage the produce is not charging and neither switches on. I do not see an option to request for a replacement in Amazon!

This Kindle would be an amazing deal for someone who is looking out to save some money!! You are also doing your share of contributing to nature by using a product that has been recycled!! Even-though this Kindle has a refurbished tag, except for some hard to notice usage signs, the Kindle is perfect inside out!! Amazon has done a great job in providing this line of refurbished Kindle!Though, when I received my Kindle, it was booting only to Diagnostic Mode which made me quite disappointed. But, Amazon was quick to rectify the mistake with a replacement immediately. Later when I searched online did I come to know that it was a minor software defect which I could have solved on my own. The person who tested my Kindle at factory had forgotten to exit the Diagnostic Mode. Except for this minor problem which could have been solved without replacement, I am completely satisfied with my Kindle!!It works exactly like a new one and looks 98% identical to a new one!! Buying this Kindle could be more beneficial as we are getting a device that has been thoroughly tested to work like a new one at a lesser price than the new one!! I would recommend this device to anyone who would love to get a great Kindle experience at a lesser price!! One year manufacturer warranty is a bonus that hardly any manufacturer would provide for their refurbished product!! As I have bought and used it, I recommend anyone to confidently buy it. I used to own a kobo glow e-reader, which had built in light. But it was somewhat slow if many books were loaded. Now this kindle is buttery smooth when “flipping” pages, and there is no ghost texts of the next or previous pages when i turn the kindle sideways. I had that problem with my old kobo glow e-reader.

Pros:- The screen is far better than the previous one that I owned(6th gen basic kindle).- The screen contrast is very good. Fonts are more legible compared to the previous generation basic kindle- The display is updated to E-Carta. This is good in terms of technology.- The backlight is definitely a USP of this product. The light spread out evenly across the display panel. Even keeping backlight to 1 point is enough for most people for comfortable reading.Cons:- Unlike in the US version, there is no Bluetooth support. Hence users may not be able to use audiobooks from audible. But this only a matter of software update that Amazon can enable the BT interface. Not sure when this might happen.- They gave Rs.200 give e-book voucher on pre-order. They could have given 3 months kindle unlimited like in the US.- I am skeptical about battery life. Need to use the device for a few more days to determine actual battery life.- The difference of color of charging indicator LED is hard to tell when the device is charging or completely charged.Price is fair in my opinion as kindle without special offers(with ads) is sold at $109 in the US which translates to INR7700/-. Expecting this for less price does not make any sense unless this is manufactured in India.

Will wait for few more days to test this issue- battery life is not that good, it could be due to light but its certainly not gonna last weeks-its 4GB but you only get around ~2.6 GB
