I don’t know what I would do without this light for night reading. It’s bright and really good for reading. Light-weighted and fits beautifully on kindle and any book you are reading. It does not disturb the other person if you are reading in bed. Really awesome!

Works well for the basic Kindle e-reader. Adds to the weight of the device but the convenience is a trade-off when you want to read in the dark. I use this with my laptop as well if I need to type in the dark. The device clings to the laptop screen rather easily. One complaint that I have is a lower brightness setting would have been good. There are 2 levels of brightness provided already I’d prefer a third with a lower intensity. To compensate I stuck a paper over the light with some tape. Produces a nice softer glow and far easier on the eyes.

Battery is draining drastically within 6 months. I need replacement for this product. I have spent 13 k to read books and its not worth at all. Please be careful before buying it.

  6. The power button on my Kindle device was not functioning. I informed Amazon customer care, they said that my product would be replaced. In replacement, I got a refurbished device! I cannot accept a refurbished device when I have paid the full price for it. Amazon did not even inform me that they would give me a refurbished device. This is plain cheating. If you have given me a faulty product to begin with, you cannot replace it with a refurbished one. What is the fault of the customer in all this? Why should they get refurbished devices when they have paid the full amount for a new one?

Pros:1) Three colours of lights. Yellow, White and Blue(ish)2) Stages of brightness on all three settings.3) Illuminates as it should.4) A bit too responsive to the touch, but that’s OK.5) Bends in a lot of angles.Cons:1) Product Pictures are misleading. They make you believe the product is small, lightweight and classy. It is not.2) Poor finish and looks “fake”.3) Pretty big to carry around, though it can be folded into a neat ball.4) NOT for the Kindle E-Readers. (Does not affect my rating however).5) The power button does not work as it should, but the part ABOVE the power button towards the neck makes the lights work as they should.6) The neck is loose, not sturdy.

Great product.1. Since it does not ship via amazon, be prepared for a delayed delivery.2. Feels a bit heavy when held in hand (maybe because of the battery. But does not feel heavy when clipped onto a book for reading3. At ₹800/- it feels a bit costly, but it’s worth the cost

The fact that it didn’t switch on with the charging wire plugged in… and it’s also heavy to clip on books…

  11. Awesome!! I love it!! It is perfect for night readers who get scolded by their wives to switch off the light XD. Fits perfectly on my kindle. The best part is we can adjust the intensity of the light. It can be fixed in any position to avoid glare. I think if you love reading at night while ur all cozed up, GO FOR IT!!

My main factor in buying this was the price( cheaper by ₹100 than the Amazon Choice product) ,secondly,it was the product description. The product itself lives upto the expectation and the description given.Pros:Adjustable brightnessSturdy build ( the clip could’ve been a tad lighter)Cons:The clip will extend comfortably till about a thickness of 350-375 pages on a paperback, haven’t tested on a hard cover yet.Initially after a full nights charge the lights didn’t come up,but that could be because I wasn’t feather touchy with the sensor. The product is heavier than you might expect a clip on light to be but that could be because of high quality plastic that was used in its manufacture.Just got it yesterday so can’t really comment on the 10hr light claim in thevdescription, will update once I’ve tested this thoroughly.Overall, happy with the purchase with the packaging being VERY impressive not to forget the FREE bookmarks provided, well, what can I say, they are okayish, could’ve been of better print quality though.I eouldvrecommend go for it.Hopefully, the marketing department would think about a reasonable price reduction then I would definitely buy one orvtwo additional lights…

What works in its favour:1. The 3 light temperature modes. I love the one that’s a mix of warm and cold!2. Perfect brightness.3. You can bend it anyway you want.4. Can double up as a tabletop light because of that big clasp. What doesn’t:1. The clasp is huge! If you want to securely clasp it to a page in your novel, you’ll end up covering atleast a few lines of text. I’m assuming it’s the battery taking up all the space though from what I’ve been reading in the rest of the reviews, the battery life is pretty good so there, i guess that’s a fair enough trade. And you can use it as tabletop light remember?2. Seriously, unless all the books you own are big big hardcovers, you’ll have to inconvenience yourself here and there with the average notebook length paperback. But seriously I love this thing and i really hope they work on decreasing it’s packing next time. Great packing btw!

I am an avid reader and reading at night has always been a challenge – especially when you don’t want to disturb family members by keeping the lights on while you read.Shoppoye book reading light has a great build, feather touch switch (initially, I was a little puzzled though, as how do I switch it on), but I am loving the three light mode. The product is really nice … can’t comment on the price though. The clip seems a bit bulky but I suppose it is of that size to accommodate the battery and other internals of the lamp. And yes, I very much enjoyed reading a ‘Thank you’ note from the manufacturer, along with this got free book marks and two ‘Camlin’ text highlighters!!

Absolute tat. The light blinds you and doesn’t illuminate anything but the top of the page. The booklet of instructions are not helpful and take it for granted you know how to recharge. Taking the clip off was impossible to reattach. The only pleasure I got from this waste if money was hurling it across the room. Garbage.

I’m writing this review after using this book light for 6 months. This is also the 3rd book light I’ve purchased and by far, it’s the best. It has a great battery life, is pretty strong and the light is more than sufficient. Go for it.

I give this a 2 star review because the book light I received worked for a month and then just totally stopped charging or coming on at all. The shop contacted me about sending a replacement or issuing a refund about a month ago. Neither of which I have recieved. Should I recieve a working replacement for my defective book light I will update my review to sometging more positive.

It’s what I was looking for. It’d be nice if the light shone at a wider angle, though. It doesn’t shine brightly on the whole page of an average paperback.Edit: I have more qualms to mention about this since my initial review. The clamp seems to require a rough surface to get a good grip, so when I try to use it on my smooth, wood easel, it isn’t secure. Also, the goosenecks on the lights are annoying. They don’t stay in place, so I have to constantly fiddle with them to keep them at the angle I want. I’ve resorted to tying them together.

  65. Awesome!!

I don’t know what I would do without this light for night reading. It’s bright and really good for reading. Light-weighted and fits beautifully on kindle and any book you are reading. It does not disturb the other person if you are reading in bed. Really awesome!

The quality is good though I think this is a duplicate. If you look the images closely, you will find the brand ‘Ocoopa’ printed on the product. This was not found on the product I received. While the original product may give 40hrs battery backup as shown in the images, the duplicate I received only promises 5-12hr (depending on the brightness used).Battery backup being the only difference, functionally everything else is as described. I’m not sure of the overcharge or over discharge protection though.

Excellent product and met all my expectations..Pros-1. Very light weight2. Charging lasts for quite a long time (sorry, didn’t measure it but i finished 100 page book without having to recharge)3. Very flexible, giving you good range of movements to focus the light on your book..Cons-1. The light on-off position is not very ergonomic and you inadvertently press it changing either the intensity of light or turning it off or switching it on.. Could habe been more strategically located.. Or they could have given a good old switch!!2. Not suitable for books with large number of pages like medical books (due to limited span of the clip).. but its more than enough for most of the regular novels/textbooks..

My eyes have more light than these. My teeth are brighter than this light. If i keep my cellphone 200kms away, maybe that might emit more light than this. All you could do with this is maybe hang clothes or use it as a clip to hold paper or maybe you can use it to dry clothes. I dont know, you can maybe find a lot more uses for the clip. The light you can just throwaway. What was this product? A bad investment.

The cost of this shld b hardly 50 bucks…nt worth spending 200 plus including delivery….very very low quality product…amazon..pls dnt cheat us by providing such cheap quality products

  75. Pathetic quality, I received the product yesterday and the clip has already snapped off. There is no cover on the LED, and the reflector is a cheap piece of shiny plastic. It won’t stay in one position either, oh no this light has a desire to wiggle all over the place and it does. Also the neck faces away from the book and that greatly hampers the reach of the light head.Don’t buy it, you’re better off making your own with parts that’ll cost you a tenth of this.

Absolute tat. The light blinds you and doesn’t illuminate anything but the top of the page. The booklet of instructions are not helpful and take it for granted you know how to recharge. Taking the clip off was impossible to reattach. The only pleasure I got from this waste if money was hurling it across the room. Garbage.

Could habe been more strategically located.. Or they could have given a good old switch!!2. Not suitable for books with large number of pages like medical books (due to limited span of the clip).. but its more than enough for most of the regular novels/textbooks..

  122. Awesome!!

I don’t know what I would do without this light for night reading. It’s bright and really good for reading. Light-weighted and fits beautifully on kindle and any book you are reading. It does not disturb the other person if you are reading in bed. Really awesome!

Absolute tat. The light blinds you and doesn’t illuminate anything but the top of the page. The booklet of instructions are not helpful and take it for granted you know how to recharge. Taking the clip off was impossible to reattach. The only pleasure I got from this waste if money was hurling it across the room. Garbage.

Absolute tat. The light blinds you and doesn’t illuminate anything but the top of the page. The booklet of instructions are not helpful and take it for granted you know how to recharge. Taking the clip off was impossible to reattach. The only pleasure I got from this waste if money was hurling it across the room. Garbage.

  179. Awesome!!

I don’t know what I would do without this light for night reading. It’s bright and really good for reading. Light-weighted and fits beautifully on kindle and any book you are reading. It does not disturb the other person if you are reading in bed. Really awesome!
